The walls suffocated him. Despite all the notebooks and little balls and toys, that any boy would beg to their parents for, he touched nothing.
"Ungrateful brat."
--------------
It was her turn. The heavy door opened to reveal a masked man that stared through her soul. Like he expected her to do something. She shivered, but remembered when the boy told her to be brave. Don't give them the pleasure.
"Eri, your turn." The man rasped dangerously. There wasn't a smile, but somehow she could feel it. It wasn't like the boy's kind smile.
She stood and walked towards masked man.
Before she knew it, she was strapped to a cold metal chair. It was spotless with no trace of blood from the boy's turn. She didn't look up at Overhaul. She could hear the song in her head that felt like static over the scientist's voice. Her head hurt as she felt a tightening in her chest. Her nose burned as she tried to remember the melody of the song.
Hmm~ hm hmm~
She screamed.
She cried.
Hmm hm hmm hm
She died, came back to life again.
It means happiness.
hmm~
hmm...hm hmm hm hmmm~
Then it was over. She stayed there for a awhile while the adults spoke. She didn't speak or looked up at them.
"Clean all this up, will you? And take Eri back to her room." Overhaul said, scoffing at the mess then walked away with blood samples.
"Yes sir" Chrono answered taking the girl out of the restraints then pick her up carefully. He walked her back to her room in silence. It was an uncomfortable silence that made her tense up every time the man took a turn. Otherwise, she wasn't paying attention.
Chrono opened the heavy door then set thw girl on the beg. He pulled out pure white and clean bandages and started to wrap her arms and legs. Replacing the old with the new.
Dried up blood and scars littered her arms and legs. Her overwise clean appearance was ruined underneath bandages. Chrono eventually left and she was alone. She was alone once more in a room filled with toys that she didn't touch. The brush layed in a far right corner waiting to be used again.
She crawled into bed once more putting a pillow over her ears. She tried her best to ignore the noises of the outside. Putting her legs up against herself curling into a small ball. Today's session was short, but painful in every way possible. Her legs ached whenever she moved in the slightest.
The heavy door opened ever so slightly. Her heart was racing when she sat up quickly. She saw a kind face of a small boy. The green haired maled stepped in giving her a comforting glance. She knew that this boy must have been older than she was. He had a tired, but kind face with freckles that danced on his cheeks like stars. She hasn't seen stars in a long time.
He closed the door silently then walked towards her. "Do you wanna talk about it?" It was a very simple question to her, but she didn't answer.
The boy nodded with understanding. He walked towards her and sat on the bed, and then little Eri started to cry. He hugged her, rubbing circles into her back while the girl sobbed. The boy said nothing and just comforted her. She could tell that the boy was upset. She knew how he just wanted to cry. He knew he wasn't strong, but he wanted to give her some hope.
"Eri-chan." A whisper. A gentle whisper from the broken boy as he smiled at her. From the darkness of the room and the way his curls covered his eyes, she couldn't see him properly.
"Your quirk is a blessing. Don't let anyone tell you any different, okay?" The boy smiled as a couple of hot tears ran down his face.
"Run...whenever you get the chance, run. Get out of here and get the pros..they'll help us."
