It had already been 4 hours since Wish didnt pick up her phone. This was getting really weird and William couldnt sit in peace. He quickly got up, leaving the office and heading to Wish's apartment.
When he reached there, the apartment was empty. His eyes caught the phone and bag on the couch. Wish wasnt here but her belongings were here? He picked the phone and there was no password. The last time she had it but now she had removed it. He wondered why.
There were few missed calls from him and Lucas. He went through her recent call logs and found there was Lucas. Did she meet Lucas today? Calling his number, William waited for him to answer.
" Hello? Wish....i have been trying to call you!!" Lucas' voice rang from the other side.
" Lucas, where is Wish?"
There was a brief silence from the other side, " Why the hell are you picking up her phone??!"
" I said where is Wish??" William asked upset. It was getting really late now.
" How would i know? We met in the afternoon and she left saying she had somewhere to be-" he stopped suddenly, " Wait....what happened to her??"
William sighed frustrated, pushing his hair back, " Wish has gone MISSING!!"
" Huh..." was all Lucas could say. She was just with them in the cafe this afternoon. How would that happen. " But...."
" If you find out about anything, call me!" he cut the call and thinking of the next step. If her belongings were here, then she must have visited the apartment right? He quickly went to the guards office downstairs. " Excuse me!!"
After explaining the situation, the guard let him to the security camera recording room. "It might take a few hours..."
" Do you think i care??! Just play the recording now!" William stood infront of the screen, waiting impatiently.
The guard fast forwarded the recording on her floor. At around 12pm, she had left the house, probably to meet Lucas. Even after few more hours, there was no sign of her coming back. Suddenly, they saw a figure heading to her apartment.
" Sir!" the guard carefully looked at the screen and William did the same. That wasnt Wish. The figure was in all black hoodie and pants with a mask covering their face completely. That person went inside her apartment, making William widen his eyes. This person was the one who left her belongings?
The person came out in minutes and once they were near the security camera, it slightly looked up and left the floor. The guard was scared by now. How could he not have noticed that suspicious figure entering the building.
William clenched his fist tightly, blood boiling. That person must have been trying to say, Wish was on their hands now and they better give up. He went back to her apartment calling his secretary. " Sally, call the guards and make sure they check every corner of the city. Wish has been captured."
Too much time had passed checking the security camera recordings. How in the world did they take her? but the most important question, Who was the one behind it? There were a lot of people who had grudges against him that could use Wish but if it were that, the person would have contacted by now to ask whatever they wanted. Wish didnt have a lot of people who hated her.
It was 4am already and as he went through his thoughts, he had dazed off into his sleep.

Meanwhile at the garage, Jake was shocked with what he had blurted.
" You think i can have hope when im tied down helplessly like this?" Wish replied, eyes red due to sobbing.
He turned the other way. Staying silent was the best option or he would blurt something again. Wish had still not touched her food and when he was about to call her, the phone inside his jeans vibrated. He quickly pulled it out as it could be an important message by his members. And yes, it was.
" Looks like your boyfriend is on the move."
Wish snapped her head, surprised, " B-boyfriend??"
Jake didnt respond, still looking at his phone. As expected, William had sent out his guards all over the town in search of Wish. Only two of Jake's members knew about Wish's kidnapping and they were his most trusted members. The guards wouldnt be able to track them down with only information.
" Can i....ask a question?"
He glanced at the girl and nodded.
" Are we in still in the city or....another country?"
" Dont worry. We are in the city.....but veerrrryyyy far from your home." he smirked confidently.
Wish sighed, slumping back on the metal chair. It had been almost 12 hours in this chair and her lower body was starting feel numb. But it was least of her thoughts. When the guy said boyfriend, was it William? Because he was powerful enough to send bodyguards for a whole search. She felt bad for making him worried again. But she was still thankful, hope he would find her sooner. As she never wanted to leave a place so much as now.
"Look..." the guy showed his phone screen with a map thing and red dots blinking at various places. " Those red dots are searching for you. Thats a lot isnt it? As expected from William Brent."
There really were a lot of dots on the map. Did he really sent that many people for the search?
" But the problem you see...." he zoomed the map and swiped further to the left and stopped at a blue dot alone, " we are here. Pretty far right?"
The distance from the city WAS pretty far. Was he lying about being in the same city? In this way, it might take even a week for them to reach here. Julie might even finish her mission by then so what was the point.
She started calculating the distance, even it was pointless. The guy had swiped pretty further from the city, almost five times. What was on the left side of the city? She had left the city once or twice in her life. In this way, she continued analysing in her head.
Jake noticed she had gone quiet and seemed concentrated on something. " You know its useless trying to find our location?"
She didnt reply, focused with herself. Yesterday, she was talking about no hope and sobbing, today she suddenly looked full of energy and hope. " Bipolar pretty much?" he blurted again but it was less loud than last time.
Wish quickly snapped her head, glaring at the guy. " What did you say?"
" Oh, you heard it?" he forced a laugh, looking away, " I was just....talking to myself."
She continued glaring at him for a while and spoke, " Are you Julie's brother?"
The sudden question surprised him a little, " Cousins."
" How long have you been a gang member?"
Now was she starting an interview? he still decided to reply, " 10 i guess?...."
Her face softened a little and Jake was expecting it, " Hey, why are you asking me questions all of a sudden?"
" Just....you look young so." she said though she didnt know herself why she wanted to question her kidnapper.
" Im 21 and a gang leader. There's no thing as young or old." Jake turned the other way. Why was she pitying over him? " Rich people like you wouldnt understand."
Wish glanced at the boy, sighing. She understood all too well as she wasnt exactly the rich people he thought she was, " So, you left your home and joined a gang?"
Jake didnt want to reply anything. Especially to a personal question like that. Yet, he ended up speaking, " yeah....you can pity me all you want. Or make fun of me for being born in a shitty family. Not like i fucking care."
" And why would i do that?" Wish said. The boy kept mumbling to himself as he probably regretted speaking about his personal life. " People pitied over me too. And thats the worse thing to happen, especially when it is out of kindness."
He scrunched his brows, listening, " So what, you are still rich. You wouldnt understand half of what i have to go through."
" Can i tell you a secret?" Wish said, making the boy surprised. " Secret? why would you tell me?"
" Because i feel like it..."
" Go on. Lets hear the great Wish Lennon's secret."
" I used to live in a shabby neighbourhood too."
Jake was taken aback by the sudden confession or more like the secret reveal. " Wh-what?"
