Reader's pov)
After Nozel left my room, I was so happy that I had a friend like him. Because I lived in a huge library and no one wanted to talk to me, I never had friends and I felt alone and the though that I finally had a friend like Nozel made me feel happy.
In the next day, while I was sweeping the hallways, I waited for Nozel to come, like he did yesterday, but he didn't came. At that moment, I though that maybe he was too busy and he will manage to have some free time to stay with me, but I was wrong. He didn't came the whole week and made me feel alone again.
After my punishment ended and I was able to go in missions again, I met with him in the backyard. I saluted him, but he didn't respond or even look at me. He ignored me like I was nothing for him. I couldn't believe it. I heard that distance affects relationships, but I never though that it could be like that and, wrost of all, I wasn't sent in missions with him anymore.
For two months, I was sent in missions with Beatrice's stupid sisters. Every mission was a hell for me because I did all the work while they were collecting all the praises and mocking me for anything I did.
One day, after an exhausting mission, I was in front of my door, searching for the key, and then Beatrice came.
"Hello, my idiot neighbour, how was your day?" she ironically because they gossiped about me daily.
"It was fine, I guess..." I said trying to keep my cool and be like it didn't bothered me the fact that I had to stay with her stupid sisters instead of Nozel.
"My day was wonderful. I don't know were to start... Now I know. I was in a mission with Nozy and then we went in a fancy restaurant. Ahhhh.... it was so romantic...!!" she said with a wicked smirk on her face.
At that moment, I wanted to stab her with my sword until I killed her, but I opened the door, walked in and lock it very fast.
Then I realized that while I was going insane because of her sisters,
"Light Magic:The Lasso Of Truth" I said and a golden lasso appeared. Everyone who is tied up with it is forced to say the truth if I ask something to him. It was perfect. I finally found a way to make Nozel say all his secrets. It was a bit awkward at first, but, judging of his strange behavior, it was the only way to find out the truth.
After a long time, Nozel and I were finally in a mission togheter. We had to catch some bandits in a small village. It was the best opportunity I had.
While we were heading to that village, I tried to talk to Nozel, but he ignored me until he couldn't hear me anymore.
"Shut up, you foolish girl! I don't want to waste my time answering to your stupid questions." he said with a high tone. After that I stayed quiet until we finally arrived at that village and it was night. It was more than perfect.
The mission went well, despite Nozel's cruel punishments to the bandits which nearly killed them. After that, I took my lasso out and waited for the moment Nozel will let his guard down. I tied him up, including his mouth for his screams do not be heared and grabbed him deep in the woods, holding his grimoire.
After I took a big distance to that village. I placed him against a tree and untied his mouth.
"Listen up, you jerk! Now I'll ask some questions and you will have to answer. This lasso will force you to say the truth so you can't hide anything from me now. Understood?"
"YOU'RE INSANE! I'll never..."
"Question 1:Why you said three months ago that you are my friend and then you didn't bother to say and treated me like I was nothing to you?". After I said that, he told me everything about that night when he came to me to bring me food he was punished in the headquarter's basement and how much he suffered there.
" I had to treat you like that to protect you. Don't you see? It suffers anyone who wants to help me or protect me.....and me aswell." he said while crying. At that moment, I felt like I was the wrost person in the world.
"I'm so sorry, Nozel, but why is your father so cruel with you?" I said down on my knees, looking in his eyes and, what I heard next, it shocked me. He was forced to follow a stupid program, never have friends or mercy and marry with Beatrice. All that because of his father who wanted his own son to follow his footsteps.
After that, I started crying to, untied him and hug him.
"I didn't know how much you suffered because of your father. I will support you and help you anytime you need. Your father is wrong. Anybody needs a friend, no matter what. I know how it feels to be alone and believe that you'll never find happiness. I went through that too. So please, let me be your friend! "I said and he hugged me back, still crying.
"Thank you, (Y/N)! "he said hugging me tightly, not letting me go for minutes,but it was so warm that I didn't want to let him too.
After that, we agreed to keep this a secret and pretend like nothing happened for our safety,but night, when everybody sleep, Nozel comes in my room and stays with me.
