I wake up the next morning with a headache and Lian next to me. I noticed my dress and corset is off. I'm in nothing but my night gown. I look at Lian, he roll over and kisses me.
"You were cute last night." He tells me as he hold me.
"What I do?" I ask him
"You tried giving yourself to me and than got mad and went to sleep" he tells me
"You were drunk I didn't want that for our first time"
He kisses me again.
"I did like having you in my bed though, nice knowing that this may be happening soon."
I look at him.
"We both know we are going to end up together for the long run." He tells me. As he kisses me again.
We decide to get ready for the day knowing that we will be missed at breakfast. As we head down to breakfast we run into the war chiefs. "You two get ready we are leaving soon."
I look at Lian funny, what happened; "it's something we always do after the festival" he looks at me.
As we finish grabbing food from the kitchen we grab some of my stuff for the room. I ask Lian again what is going on and he has no answer for me.
As we head out I was asked to be in the wagon. I asked the war chief what is going on and he doesn't answer me.
It seemed like hours that we were traveling and as we finally get to the next village, Lian comes over kisses me and tells me"pretend you can't talk" "why?" I asked him.
"Your accent we had red coats around and they might get ideas in their head. We want to avoid all of that" Lian tells me all worried. And than I realize he's right my accent is so strong n that they will know something is off. They know someone with skilled killed all those red coats a few months ago so if I say anything I'm risking bringing myself to light over who I am.
Village after village we collect what is owed and than they start pushing the Jacobites army.
I wish I could tell them what could happen but I know it would be bad. Things must pan out the way they are meant to pan out.
If it comes out I know what will happen things May change but if I speak what will I change.
I decide to debate all this in my head. But why I of all people travel back in time. I'm a solider on mission to kill a terrorist, I study war and travel the world. Why me of all people.
We end up at a pub and Lian bumps me knowing that I'm deep in though. I decide to rest my head on his shoulder,
"You should eat" he hands me the bowl of stew. As we begin eating we notice 2 red coats enter.
As we begin eating we notice the soldiers keep looking at my direction.
"Don't make eye contact" Lian whispers to me. I see the war chief and the others make it over to our table and sit down. The all give me a look as in be quite and no react.
We all play it cool and as the two men come closer they continue making comments, one of them looks at the war chief "how much is she?" He asked.
"She's not for sale. She's part of my clan" he looks At him and gets up. Two others get up as well.
We notice one of them travels over to my backside. We goes to grab the top of my dress. I turn and give him a stern look.
Lian gets up and tells him to leave. He realizes that at any moment I may reveal I'm not from the time.
"Ehh were running late." They get on their horse and continue to travel.
"They may be at the next village or just passing through. Either way they didn't want a scene"
The more the guys drink the more Roudier they got. I eventually turned in for the night. About 30 minutes later I hear some noise on the ground. As I got up I see Lian on the ground. "What are you doing," I ask him confused
"Sleeping" he tells me
"Well get in" I tell him
"No I can't ruin your honor" he tell me sincere
"I guarantee you they all knew I stayed the night with you before we left. Now get in"
As Lian walks in, "I don't want to ruin your honor."
"Shut up Lian and get in bed" I walk to the bed.
I don't understand why Lian is worried about it all, since he's the one I'm with.
As we wake up the next morning Lian ends up with his arms wrapped around me. We get up and decided to go down and eat. The war chief informs me that I've been summoned to a near by village. You see how Lian responded to that request. The war chief stated I'll be in his constant care so nothing is a concern.
As we get to the near by village we don't see the red coats that saw us yesterday. Instead we go and find a commanding Officer. War chief tells him what's up, he decided that it was best for one of them to speak to me alone. After them battling amongst themselves s it was decided that the war chief would stay and escort me to where they wanted to talk to me.
As we get into a room we see the others, it is then determine that they want me to sit,
"War What, there is beer down stairs have a drink we just to talk with the lady" the command says
"Like I keep telling you she's mute" he says annoyed.
"It has been made to our attention that you are more than a mute women" the commander stated to me
"She can hear you she just can't talk you fool" the war chief is getting annoyed.
I figured my best choices are to make it known I'm mute. I see the commander head to a table and and grab two knives. One in each hand. What on earth is he doing . He signals the other guard they grab the war chief and hold him down as one decides to hold me down. I figured my best objection is to pretend like I have no idea what is going on and than to let all hell break loose.
