The next morning I get woken up by two Scottish people. The owner of the barn and the maid.
"What time is it?" I ask hung over
They look at me shocked not realizing I've been able to speak this whole time.
"My lady we though you were a mute."
"No, were just busy trying to hide my accent from the English because it's so distinctive" I tell them
They nod without hesitation.
We're busy trying to get me into a dress that is pure white with pearls all over it.
"Isn't it lovely dear." She asked me
It's not what I would have picked but with the times I don't have a lot of options. It's not like I'm able to go down to David's Bridal and pick out a wedding gown. I'm stuck with whatever options they have available here.
They hurry me downstairs and into a chapel. I see Lian there with a new kilt.
"Ahh look at him wearing his family kilt" she tells me
"What?" I ask her
"All men are expected to wear a kilt of their family colors looks like. So nice seeing him take this seriously."
I'm then ushered down the aisle
It seems like all a blur to me as we say our "I do's"
Into the point we walk back up to my room.
Lian looked at me we start talking and he's going on and on about how proud his family will be that he finally got married. I could tell it meant a lot to him that we tied the not.
As were lost in thought we hear noise, turns out a few of the drunk men wanted to know if we were doing it yet. Lian kicks them out. He comes over and starts undressing me. Struggling to take everything off. We get down to our night gown, he grabs me and takes me to the bed. He manages to take it off and see what I have been hiding. My tattoos. He sees that I have a giant map on my back, my anchor on my ribs, a tree outline on my arm. Writing under my boob. He continues, he starts kissing me. We eventually get in the bed and I feel the pain. He can tell it's hurting "I'll go slow" we continues and eventually i rupture and I feel him explode as well. I look at him and go I need water. I put the night gown back on go to open the door and he stops me. "I'll go, stay inside"
I can hear them cheering him on asking questions and him basically blow them all off. He comes back in the room.
"What was that all about?"
"Asking me about us and what we just did"
"Oh" now I feel embarrassed
"What are those pictures all over your body" I've been waiting for him to ask me that
"They are called tattoos" I tell him
"Tattoos?" He says confused
"Yes I have the world map on my back" I show him
"This is the world" he puts his hands on it feeling impressed
"An anchor with a skull and a compass on my ribs" as I show him
"The words 'just breath' written in cursive under by boob" I watch as he looks at it.
"Why so you have all these" he asked me
"It's popular where I'm from" I tell him.
We continue eating in silence
"So what was life like in the future for you" I almost choke on that question
"Well I spent my youth mastering Marital Arts and was a talented fighter. I joined the Air Force when I was 17. Been on tons of missions. Meet Gibson who has always been a big brother and I had a hard time dating anyone." I struggle with that last part
"Why did you struggle?"
"Men don't like the idea of being with someone that can not only kick the ass, and can out shoot them" I tell him
"Men in the future of not worrying about the women being harmed" he tells me confused
"This is a confusing future" he shakes his head.
