Ariel and Eric are at the store, and somehow they haven't seen Katie yet. Katie's been trying her best to avoid eye contact with them, especially her cousin Eric. He would instantly recognize that she has the same rose gold eyes that her mother had. The house is tense, like always. Ava is watching Katie carefully, Blake is always obsessing over her, and Katie oblivious to it all. All she is thinking about is how to get Ava to go out with her. Not on a date, on a little girls' day. "Ava!!" Ava walks slowly down the stairs, annoying the frick out of Katie. "COME ON!!" "Okay, I'm here, what's up?" "I want us to have a girls' day. You know, just the two of us. Blake can take care of Noah Oliver." "I don't want to go ANYWHERE with you." "Oh don't stay in the past." "YOU TRIED TO FRICKING KILL ME," Ava says as Blake walks down the stairs. "What's going on?" "Oh, Ava was about to go out with me." 'Out with her? They're dating? God I'm so stupid,' Blake thinks amongst himself, 'I actually thought she liked me.' "We are NOT going out. We-" Katie gives Ava a cold stare, making Ava tell Blake that they were getting their nails done. Blake seems off-put about it, but he agreed to watch Noah Oliver. Katie gives Blake a friendly kiss on both cheeks, and Blake's mood seems to go down lower. They leave, and the sound of them driving off is heard.
5:30 PM
Ariel and Eric arrive home, greeting their son in the living room. "Hello, Blake! Where's Ava and that guest of ours?" "Hey Dad, they went out shopping or something." "You know, I actually haven't seen her yet." "Well she has long brunette hair, blonde highlights, kinda tall, rose gold eyes-" "Rose gold eyes? The only family in most of the world to inherit those eyes is my Uncle Dave's family. My grandparents made Uncle Dave's wive with their powers. They gave her special eyes. Weird, right? Who makes their sons wive? Wait... what was that girl's name?" "Katie, why?" "It's her. It's my cousin who ran at age 7 to save her family line. But why would she be here?" "Wait... I kissed my dad's cousin?? She's like 46!!" "47. But why would she be here?" Ariel spoke in and says, "Blake, did Ava do something? Anything related to Titans?" "Uhm... She was able to control the lightning bolt." "SHE WENT BACK UP THERE?? AND YOU KNEW?" Eric yells. Blake fidgets for a little, ignoring his father's disappointed stare. "Oh no," Eric says, "She might be doing what her father never could." "What's that?" Blake says, wondering what uncle dave couldn't have done. "She's going to kill off the Titans, starting with the chosen one," he continues, "And we might be too late."
530 PM
"Thanks, Katie, this has been the best day ever. My nails look gorge!" "Yeah, sure. I'll drive, I know a shortcut." "Alrighty!" They hop in the car, but instead of following the road, Katie makes a sharp turn into an alleyway. "Where are we?" "Get out." "Huh?" "GET OUT! NOW!" Ava gets out, not knowing what to do. 'Is she going to kill me? But I kept her secret!' Katie follows Ava out, circling her. "I watched you. I know what you can do with the lightning bolt, which means you're the chosen one. I have to kill you in order to get to the rest of the Titans. I have to kill off ALL the Titans." "Love how you're telling me your plan, but why me? I didn't exactly choose to be a chosen one. Just let me go, I'll get out your way." "You don't understand. I have to kill you off so the whole Titan army falls. If you kill their leader, their bolts won't work anymore, which means they will have no defense." "No, YOU don't understand. I'm not their leader, that guy was out dead years ago." "YOU DONT GET IT," she takes a second to breathe, "You got the same Titan genes as your brother. Big whoop. But the old Titan leader decided to choose YOU to lead this century. So you got an upgrade. If I kill you, their bolts buzz out, and they won't have any power." "Why did you want to kill them anyway?" "An old grudge that's been going on for years. My dad and his army against the Titans. If you stay alive, the Titans will want to make peace since you come from my dad's bloodline and you're their leader." "How is that bad?" "My dad wants the war to continue. He wants justice, not peace." "That's messed up. If you have a heart, you won't kill your second cousin." "First cousin actually. But that's not the point, I don't have a heart. I was raised by The Cockalowies, heartless people, for 40 years," her real face started to show, "I haven't felt love in 40 FRICKIN YEARS! ALL BECAUSE MY FATHER WAS FORCED TO TAKE THAT BOLT, AND THE TITANS BLAMED HIM FOR IT. ALL BECAUSE MER FRICKIN PEOPLE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO ACT," Katie starts crying as her knees hit the floor, "All because my family was put into a life they didn't want, but had to have because they were born into it." The gun rolls towards Ava, but she jumps over it. Right now, Katie looks like a 47-year-old model. But she didn't care. She ran to Katie with open arms, hugging her like her life depended on it. "If you were forced into this lifestyle, you don't have to keep it up. Consider NOT killing the Titans. Maybe you should just live life while you have years left."
