It took Mary an hour to get herself ready and packed for what she needed though Jana could only move at her mother's pace. It wasn't that Angel wanted to take her future mother-in-law it is just that she still had work to do and Jana has been acting rather strange since she found her book. So, as they made their way to Kansas City in overnight hours it only got worse for Mary her mental mind began fading, her stories didn't make sense whatsoever. It felt like Mary began fading which explains why she insisted on going to an nursing home this late hour though she can't blame Mary for needing help. They did try to insist the Emergency Room but Mary still wouldn't have it and threatened to get out of the truck if they didn't take her where she wanted. Arriving an hour later they got to the nursing home, Mary chose out, and as they made their way in a night shift worker came through the back door.
"Mary said she would be here. Well here she is, what a beautiful lady." The woman said.
Riverbend Post Acute Rehabilitation is a big brown building that looked like it could hold a good chunk of patients. Mary looked pleased to be in good hands as she waved Jana and Angel off.
"Go on girls, I will be fine. Be sure to visit in a few weeks since they'll be running tests and such." Mary said.
"Mom, hold up. What about us signing you in or anything medical insurance?" Jana replied worryingly.
"It is all in the system when I called last week for preparations because you're dear fiance knew what I needed. Now, go on, go eat and be with each other. Be sure dearest Angel to send me a copy of your book to share with everyone." Mary responded smiling from ear to ear.
Angel held Jana's hand as they watched Mary go inside. Angel turned Jana around to face her.
"We better get going on the road back to home, we do have to get ready for work tomorrow, and see that Briar didn't piss or pee all over your mom's home since we forgot her while rushing with your mom." Angel said.
"I feel like both my parents are gone now, we moved here for my sake, and now it feels like a waste because dad is gone, mom's in a nursing home. This is the worst idea to come out here. You're right, let's go home and get our baby." Jana replied sulking into the front seat of the truck.
Angel never seen Jana so hurt before it is so raw to making her want to cry because she can't solve this situation.
"Sweetheart, your mom will be okay. We will come see her, I can cancel my tour and everything else for us to be around your mom more." Angel said squeezing Jana's hand.
"I can't do that to you, you have worked so hard to become a best selling author. I can now use mom's vehicle to get to the bakery and you can use the truck for your tours. I have no idea what to do about her house though. Her and dad love that house so much." Jana replied.
"Call your dad when we get home and let him handle it because your mom isn't no longer there, he could live in it with his new family." Angel responded.
"That is a no go, no one gets that house but me and my mom that is the agreement we made when dad decided to leave mom. I am not having my dad move back in because he will just not care for it properly, it would all go to waste with filth." Jana replied.
"Sell the house give it to someone who needs it than babe because we have our own home and your mom isn't going to need that. Sell it to a family who needs it, come on? For your mom sake. She can always stay with us when she comes to visit." Angel responded with a smile.
"I will think about it but I do not hold any promises. I don't want to lose my childhood home it means as much to me as my parents do. I love that house more than I can imagine any other home." Jana replied through tears again.
Angel knew Jana meant everything on losing her home to another family but they couldn't afford another home to take care of at the moment. They don't have a set date for their wedding either, so it's like all in the window since they have moved here. It isn't that they don't appreciate one another but their is no time for them anymore. She hasn't cancelled her tour because she knows that she has time to get ready since the weather is pretty bad in Indiana still for her to meet Charlotte Reagan to represent her book along with showing her the works of touring. Angel didn't know if she is going to survive all this mess. It didn't help anything that something bothered Jana with her book from years ago, it wouldn't be a best seller whether it was written as a novel or not.
