Angel found Jana on the couch crying her eyes out with Briar cuddling next to her with whimpers coming out from the puppy. Angel made her way to the couch than sat next to Jana with a big sigh trying not to be dramatic but it seemed they couldn't find a way to make everything work.
"Babe, please let's talk figuring this out." Angel said holding on to her wallet tightly.
Jana wiped her eyes looking at Angel.
"What is it going to do too talk? You have drained your dream. You were all set to Elope and now you want a full blown wedding by Spring. It is almost Christmas and we have nothing for one another, our house is empty of any holidays. Are we meant to be together? We are more apart than home anymore." Jana replied with a harsh tone.
"Jana, we are fine. It is part of life to be working all the time, you know this. I want us to be married when we are ready if it is stressing that much, we can get married later on. I want you happy more than anything especially finding out how Wallace treated you in the past, and I know you love me more than you have anyone else." Angel responded trying to make light of the situation.
"Let's go get married now then we can enjoy our honeymoon and you can go back to working on your future success. It would be a great way to enjoy one another plus this can give us new ideas for our future and I can leave Briar with my dad and his new girlfriend in the meantime. We can get Shauna and Lucia to join us for the wedding as well to be our witnesses as you have told me before. Please, Angel this is perfect timing." Jana replied with a smile to light up the room.
"We can sign the papers now and be married in Spring with Shauna and Lucia as witnesses since we don't need everyone to see us getting married. I don't want us to rush into marriage, right away babe but I want us to enjoy each other too before we decide what else our future holds like adopting kids, we want to be wise and not ruin anything by rushing. We have all the time in the world to be married and I wanted to take a break from this big move of touring to be with you, you mean everything to me and I don't want to leave you by yourself." Angel explained to the best of her ability to make Jana understand.
Jana finally agreed to Angel's thoughts on their wedding. They went right down to the courthouse in downtown Kansas City to sign their paperwork and went on figuring out the next order of wedding plans that have lead them to finance struggles to complete everything in time by Spring because Jana wanted to make sure, everyone is attending including Angel's mom and her parents that still mean everything to her. They settled with forty people to come too the wedding including some of Angel's fans from her book launch that happened months ago. Christmas and every holiday ended up being on the back burner due to wanting this wedding. Jana ended up calling Kansas City Courthouse to see if they could schedule their wedding for the Fall of that next year due to finances that still didn't make enough for requirements with their wedding planner.
Angel had no choice but to go back on her tour with any author she could find to join her along with Jana needing to go back to work in the bakery for extra funds. Sacrifices had to be made to get their wedding going so both of them can enjoy life as an happily married couple. They saved a whole year, went and sign again at the courthouse once more, settled with the wedding planner also made their wedding become a reality.
"Baby, can you believe it? Our wedding is beginning to become a reality after a year of struggle to make ends meet. We will be able to open our own store again too this time naming it Windsong in memory of my grandma." Jana said with bundles of excitement.
"Sweetheart, only a week away for our official wedding. Might as well make you store owner this time then because it will be for your grandmother." Angel replied moving Jana's hair out of her eyes.
"A week with our honeymoon soon after. By the way, where are we headed for that? We never discussed it but we saved so much in funds even for paying on the house that I didn't think to ask what you had in mind for that?" Jana responded with peaked curiosity.
"That my lovely bride-to-be is a surprise for you to know and trust me it is worth it. Be prepared to pack your bags too for about two weeks worth since we still have to have funds for other bills and events coming up. Shauna is planning to get married herself within the next year or two, so we will be attending that one in Michigan." Angel replied with a smile from ear to ear.
"Two weeks? Martha isn't going to let me go away that long for a trip. Shauna getting married is exciting news to hear though but when did she propose to Lucia?" Jana asked in more curiosity.
"You are full of questions all of a sudden, my goodness. Lucia proposed to her right after I have made the announcement of our rescheduled wedding. As for Martha, I made her take an agreement that if she attends the wedding with your co-workers that you could have time off for our honeymoon." Angel replied smirking at Jana as she looks at her completely shocked. "Looks like we were scheduled for it to be busy these next several years though we still haven't figured out when we are adopting kids either." Jana responded thoughtfully.
"We will get it figured out before we get to much older." Angel replied. "For now let's worry about getting down the aisle since we have a little time to go."
As work passed by Martha and all of Jana's co-workers helped her prepare a beautiful cake two days prior to the wedding. Jana managed to find a beautiful dress that would make Angel fall head over heels again. Jana felt her nerves approaching as the countdown began that she knew her future is about to take a big leap.
