Chapter 5 - Chapter 3.3 - Forgotten Words

A year have passed since my father came home, making my family complete again. Just like what mother had expected, I finished the 2 books in reading and writing in a month. I can finally speak so I have conversed with my parents about some things that intrigued me. I now know that Qi and Ki are one and the same, while mana is the resource present everywhere around us which is used in casting spells.

They also asked about some things that confused them when I was still a child. The topic was brushed off as me being a genius after I told them that I had some pieces of knowledge in my head when I was born.

After that, every single day for the past year, my parents taught me to the best of their capabilities in the History of Eternia, the different races that are found in Eternia and how each race affect their affinity towards a certain class and fighting capabilities, and the different classes that individuals go for. They also told me how I should act as a Marquess' son, etiquette in dealing with people, some knowledge concerning the hierarchy system of Eternia and other necessary common sense or knowledge in this world.

I did notice some minor things that seem to be missing in the books that have been taught to me by my parents. I have read it myself over and over again, but I can't seem to find any information about the Factotum Class.

In addition, my father said something to me which really surprised me.

"Julius, your mother Lisa is the 1st most recognized Tier 3 Caster in the whole world. She has contributed the most towards stopping the world's 2nd strongest monster wave. Not only did she nearly lose her life from trying to protect the citizens of the Empire of Alibaba here in the east by prioritizing their safety over hers, she was also part of the team that I leaded in order to destroy the source of the portal that had been summoning all those monsters from before. On the other hand, your mother Emma is the 2nd most recognized Tier 3 Marksman who was also part of the team I leaded before. She was the sole individual who took on the multitude of enemies in the Kingdom of Aternos found in the west part of Eternia, and reconquered it in 2 days. Although they are the weakest of the Top 5 in terms of raw strength, they are still part of the Top 5 nonetheless. That's why I said I pale in comparison to them, when they're the best or 2nd best, while I'm just one of the Top 12 of my class. By the way, we're in the east part of Eternia right now."

{This confirmed my suspicions that my parents are indeed a group of powerhouses. Due to their attitudes of wanting to be free from meticulous responsibilities, they formed a mercenary group instead of a guild. They said that all 6 members of the mercenary group are part of the Top 12 Individuals in their respective class. In other words, there are 3 more people in the group who are close friends with my parents and are a bunch of powerhouses as well.}

"Phew... That's enough Ki regulation for now..." I said as I stopped my meditation.

{With this, I have finally cleansed out all the impurities in my body since birth. I have to do this again next time when my body has grown more. At least now, I can finally walk on my own and speak. But I still cannot use my body to do strenuous movements. That has to wait. Anyway, I do remember my father who's going to bring 4 orbs to me today that will help me see my status...?}

I started rearranging all the information in my head while I was taking a bath. I removed all the extracted impurities on my body by scrubbing all parts of my body thoroughly. I still could not reach my back part, so I had my mother Emma help me. Of course, even without asking, my mothers would still supervise me while taking a bath themselves. Either mother Athelisia or Emma would accompany me. I have seen their bodies and interacted with them several times (breastfeeding and hugging them) that now, I am fully used to seeing them. I do not get flustered anymore.

After the bath, I put on new clothes with the help of my mother Emma, and started thinking about what father said again with the 4 orbs. Moments after, it was already time for lunch.

"Hm... Where have I heard that word before?" I pondered to myself while sitting on the dining table with my mothers, eating our lunch.

"Heard what, Julius?" my mother Athelisia asked after she wiped her mouth with a table napkin.

"I remember Father saying that he will bring 4 orbs today. With 1 of those orbs, he said that we will be able to see my identification and overall strength. With the other 3 orbs, we will be able to see my affinity with the 3 classes."

"Isn't Julius still a bit young though? I thought it would be more effective to use those when he's 3 years old?" my mother Emma asked after taking a sip from her glass of water.

"You know our husband... He is very excited to see how great his son is. I bet he'd brag to his drinking buddies right after seeing Julius' great status, or not if it was bad or mediocre." my mother Athelisia replied.

"Hahaha, that's true. He was always a person who's so hung up with stats. No wonder he is known for the man who buys too many Orbs of Identification. It is supposedly an infinite-use item but he keeps breaking it after seeing how minimal the changes were in his stats even after training for 3 months. Can't you enchant that item to make it indestructible?" (Emma)

"Impossible. I mean, I would if I could so that our expenses would be cut down. Money is very important, and even if we have an abundant amount of wealth, we never know when we'll need more. Either way, it is nice to have several Orbs of Identification. We can have one for ourselves. You can have one for yourself too, Julius. With it, you can check your full identification. Well, other people call it Status, so let's just call it that too." (Athelisia)

"Yeah, that word... I know I have heard it before. Status... " I then thought to myself. Moments after saying the word status, something appeared in front of me.

{A weird square-like thing... From there, I can see my whole body, my name, my race, my title, my level, my stats, my skills and the equipment I am wearing...?}

"Woah! Amazing!" I shouted in amazement as I tried touching the status board but my hand just passes through it.

"What's the matter? What are you looking at?" both of my mothers asked.

{Foolish me! I forgot that my two mothers are still here. What good is my thousand years of experience if I don't even immediately realize simple mistakes such as these?}

"Oh, uh... It's nothing. I just felt the need to go to the Rest Room now. I'll be right back." I replied, all while hurrying towards the rest room.

"Oh... Ok then? Take your time, sweetie." my mother Athelisia said.

When I got into the rest room, I sat on the toilet and looked at the status board again.
