Chapter 1 - Jenna

"Isn't she the only one to fail?"

"I've heard that this isn't the first time she failed."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I've heard this is her second time taking it."

"Shouldn't the school drop her out by now?"

"I have no idea. Shh, she's coming this way."

Some girls lingered beside the lockers and were getting ready for their next class when they saw Morgan and flickered an idea.

One of the girls stepped forward and leaned on the lockers while crossing her arms. "Two years in a row, what else, drop out?" Giggles.

"How ironic," another girl scoffed. "Everyone else passed except for one. Who is it, well we're looking at it." Laughter.

"Morgan, say something," she jeered. "Oh wait, two years of wasted knowledge, I guess now everyone can lower their expectations." More laughter. Morgan kept silent.

The silence bothered the girls and they weren't having any of it. "Hey, freak, if you continue doing that, you might as well drop out of this school now." She then dropped the book and the hallway filled with more laughter.

"Well, Heather, Molly, Jenna, if you can't find a better freak to pick on, you might as well give up altogether." Morgan stood up and held her head high. "Oh, that bomber jacket you're wearing is so melodramatic, Molly. You almost look pretty in it." That should shut their mouths, Morgan reckoned.

A paper airplane hit her head as if to remind her Earth isn't where she should be.
