Raven: "I can see why you left. Can't say I'm surprised by General Ironwood doing that to be perfectly honest. He loses himself in his own fear too often, which causes him to do regrettable things."
Topaz: "Doesn't matter at this point. What's done is done. So, what did you need help with?"
Raven: *sigh* "It happened around a couple of weeks ago. It was a pretty average day for us around here. We had a couple of beowolves come too close to camp so we cleared them, but off in the distance a small cry could be heard. I rushed in the direction of where the cry cam from, and there was a small black and white cat lying at the base of a tree. Looking closely, it wasn't injured, but it looked very malnourished. I took it back to camp and decided to keep it with my in my tent. Over the course of a few days, it began to get better and better until a week came by. That morning I woke up and looked over to the little bed I set aside for it, only to find a young girl lying there."
Topaz: "A girl?"
Raven: "Yes, you heard me right, a girl. I honestly panicked then and there. I wasn't around much for Yang when she was young and still don't know how to take care of a kid. The poor girl doesn't speak, she's terrified of everyone aside from me, and I don't know what to do."
Topaz: "So you want me to help with this girl?"
Raven: "Yes. I feel like the brothers are giving me a second chance or some reason when she's around."
Topaz: "Where is she now?"
Raven: "Look up."
Looking above him, Topaz sees a small cat sitting on one of the supports for the tent. When the cat noticed she was being watched, it jumped to the ground and hid behind Raven. A moment later, a small girl pokes her head out from behind Ravens legs. Topaz chuckles and crouches down to the girl's height. The girl has long black hair with amber eyes that seemed to glow.
Raven: "It's ok little one. He's a friend who is here to help."
Topaz: "Does she have a name?"
Raven: "I didn't know if she had one or not, and haven't given her one myself yet. I was thinking of calling her Yue."
Topaz: "Yue is a cute name, and it makes sense with her black hair and bright amber eyes."
Raven turns towards the girl and crouches down. Looking into her eyes, she gives her a small smile.
Raven: "Would you be alright being named Yue?"
The girl tilts her head to the side and then nods her head quickly.
Topaz: "It's nice to meet you Yue, my name is Topaz. How old are you?"
The girl starts to shiver when Topaz focuses his full attention on her and she hides behind Raven once again. Topaz stands up and walks to the other side of the room before sitting on the ground. Raven gives him a questioning look before shrugging her shoulders and refocusing on Yue. Suddenly, an idea pops into Topaz's head and he smirks. Closing his eyes for a moment, he transforms himself into a cat. Walking over to Raven and the girl, Topaz sits next to Raven and gets her attention.
Raven: "Topaz? Why are you like that, or better yet, how are you like that."
Hearing Raven speaking, Yue cautiously pokes her head out and sees the cat next to Raven. Topaz notices relief flash in her eyes before she too transforms into her cat form, meowing towards Topaz.
Yue: 'Who are you?'
Topaz: 'It's me Topaz'
Yue: 'You're that person?! How?'
Topaz: 'My semblance allows me to change myself into animals, like how you can change from a cat to a little girl.'
Yue: 'Semblance?'
Topaz: 'Yue, how old are you?'
Yue: 'I'm four.'
Topaz: 'When did you start changing between a cat and human?'
Yue: 'I don't know. Not very long I think.'
Topaz: 'Do you know where your mom and dad are?'
Yue: 'They are gone. Those monsters attacked them.'
Topaz: 'I'm so sorry. What did the monsters look like?'
Yue: 'They were big guys with dark clothes and scary masks.'
Topaz: 'Those don't sound like grimm.'
Yue: 'The grimm attacked after the monsters attacked.'
Topaz: 'Did one of the monsters have reddish hair?'
Yue: 'Yes, he was the one leading them all.'
Topaz: 'Ok, I know who the monsters are. Don't you worry, I will stop them.'
Yue: 'Thank you.'
Yue begins to cry while thanking him and Raven takes her into her arms.
Topaz: 'I'm going to change back Yue, do you want me to go back to the other side of the room?'
Yue: 'No, please stay here.'
Topaz: 'Ok.'
Changing back to normal, Topaz explains what happened to her to Raven, who looks livid. Yue changes back into her little girl form and looks towards Topaz. She gives Topaz a small smile and tries to stand up, but Raven won't let her.
Raven: "Yue, you should remember that when you change you don't have any clothes on. You can go to Topaz once you put some on."
After a few minutes Yue walks over to Topaz and gives him a quick hug.
Yue: "Th-th-thank you."
Raven: "Did she just speak!?"
Topaz: "Yes she did. You are very welcome Yue."
Raven: "Yue, after so long you finally said something. I'm glad."
The girl looks towards Raven and tilts her head to the side.
Yue: "G-Glad?"
Raven: "Yes, very glad. I was worried that something was wrong."
Yue: "Why?"
Topaz: "Raven cares about you Yue. Call it maternal instinct or whatever you want."
Raven: "Topaz!"
Yue: "You do?"
Raven: "Yes, I do."
Yue: "Ok."
Yue walks up to Raven and hugs her legs. When she lets go, Raven crouches down and gives the small girl a warm hug. After a few minutes, the two break apart and Topaz can see tears sitting in the corners of Raven's eyes.
Topaz: "Raven, you know it won't be safe for her if you stay here."
Raven: "I know, but I don't know where to go."
Topaz: "Go to Patch. Tai and Summer are there, my parents and sister are there. It's a safe enough place."
Raven: "Maybe, I just don't know what to do about my tribe. They are my family."
Topaz: "Raven. I know that's not your only hesitation. You have more power than you know what to do with, don't you?"
Raven: "How could you possibly know that?"
Topaz: "It was either you had it beforehand, and used Vernal as a decoy, or when Vernal was killed at Haven, you being her leader and someone she obviously looked up to, it wouldn't be surprising for you to be that last person on her mind."
Raven: "Yang told you, didn't she?"
Topaz: "No, she hasn't spoken on what happened down there that night, and none of us have asked about it."
Raven: *sigh* "Fine, you're right. That's another reason I'm hesitant to move to Patch. I'd be putting everyone in danger by living there."
Topaz: "I don't think they'd care to be honest. Tai and Summer are strong, and my parents aren't pushovers either. I think they'd be willing to help seeing your reasoning is such an adorable little girl."
Raven: "I don't know Topaz."
Topaz: "Well why don't we find out? Let's go to Patch, and see what they say."
Raven: "I guess we can do that. Would that be alright with you Yue?"
Yue: "Will it be scary?"
Topaz: "Nope, the two of us will be with you to make sure nothing scary happens."
Yue: "Okay! Let's go."
Topaz: "It will be nice to see everyone again. It's been too long."
Raven: "This will probably be a very long trip. No one there has seen me in years."
Topaz: "Eh, it shouldn't be that bad. I think they will be happy to see you again."
Raven: "I'll cling to your optimism, even though I doubt it'll be the case."
