I grip the knife I have sheathed behind my back, my pulse hammers in my ears, nevertheless I force myself to breath steadily. This is hard enough as it is, can't have her questioning my behavior.
"Slen, why did we come here?" Laura smiles at me softly and my insides flutter; with both desire and dread. "I just wanted to be alone with you," I stammer. I don't know if I can do this. I drag my sweaty palms down my pant legs and take a reluctant step closer. She tenderly reaches for my hands and places them around her waist. My heart throbs and I kiss her desperately, she pulls a hand through my hair and I can't help but shudder. Squeezing my eyes shut I silently pull the knife from it's sheath. Mumbling a pitiful "I'm so sorry," as I plunge it through her heart.
