-Forest of Cloud-
Penta was getting accustomed to travelling in the forest.
He was never a forest expert but with the fact that meat and vegetables abounded in this forest, he was doing alright.
"Bone boar, Venom snake, Small wolf, Blood Bear, such a delicious world," Penta remarked to himself joyfully for the simple fact that meat and vegetables were available to him again. He cried a few times over the week he had spent traveling in the forest. Whenever he had meat, he would solemnly pray before eating: "Thank you universe, for it is not dirt!"
He looked like the most serene and serious monk you would see before every meal.
Aside from the Bone boar, he encountered a Venom snake but decided to eat it anyway considering the small size and a little bit of poison resistance was something he was fine with getting. Surprisingly, the snake barely registered an effect. Penta was surprised but simply believed it to be his newfound First-grade Physique. What he didn't know was the true extent of how powerful his body was due to being an Agaran Emperor Roach.
The Small wolf was a simple and speedy little grey wolf that resembled a vicious. He wasn't sure considering his lack of knowledge on even wolves but it was fast. Very fast. If Penta's speed hadn't increased after his promotion he was sure that he could barely keep up.
The only regret Penta had was that he had seen a bear that was covered in a practically vermillion coat of fur. It looked eerie, to say the least. Unfortunately, even Penta had a rough time fighting it. It was the first thing that gave him a threat. Not one where he would die but he wasn't able to kill it either. It was as sturdy as him and it was a shocking revelation. If he had a sword or dagger, the story would have been different but let the bear go as he heard a few small cries in the cave the Blood Bear had appeared from.
"This world is too magical, I need to get a weapon and some skills asap," Penta mumbled as he trekked through the woods with a boar skin kilt he made after his first encounter with them.
Penta knew he wasn't an apex predator considering he came from the land of the dead, and even Old'Ban was a dead man. He knew that his increase in strength had developed a sort of invincibility complex, even if it was ever so slightly.
"I got to get stronger, I can't let myself die so miserably like in my last life. Or again for that matter, I ain't wanting to meet that prick in the sky so soon"
With those words, Penta finally managed to notice that the trees were getting more sparse and the animals and birds were becoming less and less frequent.
"Means only one thing. Either I'm headed somewhere freaking dangerous or I am simply getting near civilization. Brothers and sisters, I hope it's the latter." Penta thought inwardly while speaking to his current family.
He really started believing in his sibling's soul sparks being within him ever since he felt the original feeling when he had absorbed them. There were actually little seed-like golden sparks within his soul that if one ever counted, numbered 345. The coincidence was unnoticed by Penta but he sincerely felt them coming along with him for the journey.
After a beautiful week within the Forest of Cloud, Penta was finally making progress towards the outside world. He would have loved to stay in the forest, honestly, just for the free food but he wanted friends he could speak with. He tried communicating with a few birds and animals but they usually ran away. It hurt him deeply when they did but he moved on, hoping to find humans or whatever they were called here.
"Oho, look what we have here." Having climbed a rather large hill, Penta was smiling at the sight that lay in front of him.
He saw massive circular fields. A little odd as he was used to rectangular fields but the greatness of it all was that he saw little dots working around the field and vehicles moving about. It was majestic. To him, that had been in darkness for so long. He hurt himself severely against a rock just to make sure it wasn't a dream. Though he hadn't had one since becoming his roach self.
"Friends, Meat, Power, Here I come. Hahaha!" Penta laughed and was about to rush towards them before he stopped himself.
" I look really suspicious... I should probably grab a boar so I can say I lost all my things and went managed to hunt the bone boar down. Hehe, Genius." Penta laughed again as he hadn't been this happy in a very long time. The joy of this new life was finally becoming apparent ever since he got through his harsh birth and the obstacles that followed.
He decided to hurry as it would get dark if he loitered, and he really wasn't willing to spend another night next to a campfire. A meal and a bed were all he could imagine. Training in Nature's Evolution and Travelling the forest was fun and delicious but he knew people always made better food.
He used his full speed to become a bullet that rushed back into the forest. Anyone who saw him would be shocked at the speed. His roach legs were technically four legs, It was an insane speed, even for most humans. Only shamans could compare.
It barely took thirty minutes at full speed to find a Bone boar. It went into shock when a human showed up next to it. Its eyes opened wide, fearful of the creature that appeared right next to its head.
"I thank you for your contributions, my dear meal." He prayed solemnly again and before the Boar could react to anything, its neck was snapped. No bloodshed or pain. It was truly a quick death.
Penta rushed back to the hill at top speed and finally calmed down seeing it only took about an hour for the whole ordeal. Now he was prepared to enter the city but language was bothering him. He hoped he could get by until he learned it or, what he really hoped for some god-given cheat. However, he knew who sent him here. That bastard would have never given him that kind of simple basic language cheat. That shitty wannabe god.
As he started walking towards the fields, he started to notice a city like structure in the distance, once he got close enough, it really was a city. He jogged as he went by the different people working in the circular fields. He knew they were farmers. They looked at him suspiciously and he was sure they weren't very welcoming to strangers. Especially those carryings a large Bone boar while barely wearing a skirt.
"Sigh, if only I met a friendly grandma to teach me the language but whenever I get near, I hear them yelling something I don't understand while pointing at the city." Penta couldn't help but feel sad because of this but he knew the city was where he could get what he needed. If only Penta knew what they said. He would have probably not felt so bad.
"Look at this idiot, running naked with a Bone Bear. Go to the city you fool, we have enough food already! Go on!"
He decided to rush to the city considering the farmlands were not so welcoming. He didn't know why but he would find out eventually.
Suddenly, in front of a few farmers, he bolted in the direction of the city and disappeared within the second.
Everyone at the farm starting sweating for having thought they might have offended a really powerful shaman. They especially looked at the young man who called the other an idiot. Shaman's around these parts were very well respected as they protected the common people from dangerous invasions from beasts or other tribes. They could live so simply due to this protection and especially near this city as a large Shaman tribe resided east of the city and recruited from the city and surrounding farmlands.
"I hope the city is a nicer place. Sigh." The speeding Roach mumbled.
