Aurora's POV
I was up long before dawn.
Planning wasn't just about parties, it was also about training and strength.
Sweat trickled down my brows as I fought my water made opponent. The thing about controlling water was it had a mind of it's own. So I simply willed it to human form and trained.
The water was bloody tough. I twisted my rod. "Give up!"
It twisted it head but struck a fighting pose.
I rolled my eyes and resumed fighting. It took three more minutes to beat it.
It did a bow then dissolved on the floor.
I took a minute to catch my breadth then jumped into the sea.
The water welcomed me. Danced around me and washed the sweat off me.
Finally I surfaced to breath and spotted Laura watching me.
She smiled. "You swim beautifully."
I ignored the compliment. "Are the rest up?"
She nodded. "Yes. Cleaning up he last of yesterdays ball."
Light was already beginning to peak from the sky.
I nodded. "Tell them to get breakfast ready."
She nodded and scurried away.
When I was sure she was gone, I prompted the water to raise me and stepped onto land. Staff in hand, I walked into the mansion.
The scent of custard and eggs drifted in the air.
I was suddenly angry. They deserved it –Laura deserved it, to have delicious breakfast everyday, not the constant meal of potatoes and carrots.
I walked up the stairs and tried to calm down. I was going to avenge them, make sure their deaths were paid for.
A bath was ready for me. I pulled off all my garments and stepper into the warm almost hot water.
It smelt of berries and apples.
I felt the tensed muscles from my training loosen and relaxed into the water.
A silk blue dress laid on my feather bed. I dried myself with the fluffy towel laid beside the dress and dressed.
As I descended the stairs, I heard a commotion.
"–said I was pretty, so there!!"
Laura sounded outraged. "Oh come on Amber. we all know he is Daisy's man!!"
Amber snorted. "Does that mean anything? because she has feelings for him doesn't mean he has feelings for her!!"
I stepped into sight and they all shut up. I stared at them cooly. "I pay you to clean and cook not to yell and disturb the air."
They looked down with red cheeks. I walked past them to my place at the table and sat.
They raced around setting platters on the table and jugs and glasses.
I was served a bowl of custard, cream, and creamy eggs. There was a soft loaf of bread and white lump of butter. A jug was milk lay in the center.
I stared at it before lookinga them. "Why is there so much here?"
They looked frightened and finally Laura spoke up. "We thought–"
"Next time prepare enough, not too much."
They nodded and I sighed. "Good."
Then frowned. "The prince wasn't in attendance."
They nodded and Amber spoke. "A letter was sent of his apologies, he had princly matter to attend to."
I frowned. "Where is this letter?"
I was handed a pink letter unopened with a letter opner.
I tore it open and read, I ossed it on the table. "Deposit it in my room." then stood. "I am off to see a friend."
