Lynn's pov
It's been a while since Lyde and I updated each other on how thing are going on with our own lives. We also still haven't made up from our last fight. Hopefully, he'll tell me something today if I approach him first.
Knocking on his door, I felt a bit nervous. I'm not certain how he's going to talk with me, but I have to do this.
"What is it?…" he yawned. I must have disturbed him in his sleep.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were asleep."
"It's fine. I was about to wake up from the nap anyway. So what is it? Are we done switching lives now?" His sounded a little sarcastic, though I just let it slide.
"About that. I was wondering how you were doing at my school? Is there anything going on lately?"
"Ah yeah, it's fine. Everything's fine. You don't have to worry about me." Fine? I find it unbelievable, knowing Haley who's a bitch who would want to ruin my life. I bet that it was going to be hell dealing with her.
But I guess, maybe it's possible that she stopped caring about me and completely cut me off. I don't want to doubt Lyde too.
"…that, that sounds good."
"It is. How about you? Can't you really find a way out of the gang?"
"Err, about that…" I've made up my mind that I'm going to seriously quit if I make a few more bucks, it won't be soon but I promised that I'll do as I say. "I—"
"You can take your time. Really. Lately I wasn't thinking properly, and I probably got… a little too much upset with you always coming home late. I should've been more considerate knowing the situation I put you through." What's this!? Is this for real?!
Lyde is being kind all of a sudden?!
"O-Oh… oh. It's okay. So we're good now?" I just said I wouldn't doubt him, but this miraculous moment is really sketchy.
"Yeah." The smile he gave off seemed really genuine. It made me happy that things turned out like this, lately everything is going great. I wonder how things will go later.
I wish things run better from now on.
After that, I got sudden call from Keto. Just when I thought that things will keep getting better… "Hey? You called?"
[Lyde, I need you to come at the west bridge tomorrow afternoon.] This must be another gang meeting.
"What's happening?" Isn't it too soon to be summoned at the Hawkin's Place again?! I can still feel some ache at my jaw from all the freaking punched I had last time.
[Well, things aren't going pretty with the gang's turf. Some dumbass no names were trying to seize it for themselves.] So this isn't related to the Neutral Faction.
"I see…" this is just another regular gang thingy. Damn it. I don't wanna participate in something so useless.
[Right, I'll see you tomorrow.] I got to sigh as Keto ended the call.

Lyde's pov
I'm glad that she's able to buy it off.
Things changed. I had to stay as Lynn for a while.
Everything was exactly the opposite of what I told Lynn. Her school life is a fucking chaos.
"…bitch." I heard Haley murmur as I passed by her. She pisses me off, but paying mind to whatever she does would mean that I'm making her satisfied and win from whatever bullshit she's trying to pull.
It's always like this at Lynn's school everyday. Haley never runs out of ideas to make my days worst than before. I often thought of getting back at her, but I always managed to supress that rage because of Agnes.
As long as I'm not alone, I can handle everything and make it through the day.
"Goodmorning!" Agnes greeted.
"Yeah, hey!" Corners of my lips always curve up when I get the sight of Agnes.
"Have you done homework for the second period?"
"What!? There was homework?!"
"I knew this will happen!" She chuckled, and brought out her notebook. "Here, you can copy mine."
"Thanks! You always save the day, Agnes!"
Agnes is such a sweet girl, she makes me forget all the bad vibes that Haley is trying to rub on me. It's like they just balance my day, everyday is always a mix of good and bad vibes from the two. But I much prefer if Haley just never existed.
When it was already break time, Agnes had to go to the girls room and had me waiting for her near the cafeteria entrance. Agnes is a nice and sweet girl, but that doesn't really change the fact that she's still a girl. She sure is taking her time.
While waiting, some of those passing by stopped infront of me with an annoying grin on his face. "Lynn…"
"Oh gosh…" I didn't want to deal with Lucas right now. "What do you want from me?" I asked him in whisper.
He lightly shakes his head and patted my shoulder. He leaned a little closer and whispered back "I've decided… I'm sorry if I was such a pest, but you don't have to worry anymore."
Oh?… what's this sudden change?
Is it for real?!
"You… uhm, okay…" This is good news!
"Yeah… then I guess I'll see you around."
"O-Okay." Finally, it's a huge relief that my problems decreased, I wonder when will Haley stop pestering me as well? Maybe Mr. Lucas isn't that bad at all.
After that teacher was out of sight, I saw Haley with Natalie passing by. She was glaring at me badly while Natalie rolled her eyes on me. "Tch. What a bunch of idiots." I laughed to myself.
Then finally, Agnes arrived. "Sorry! Did I took too long?" She seemed like she sprinted all the way here because she was out of breath.
"No, not at all! How about we go and eat now?"
"Great, let's go!"
