Chapter 4 - They Can't Accept 'No' For An Answer

I shouldn't have come here.

"…no."

"But sister!"

"No means no, guys. And you're seriously asking a girl to fight for your sake, don't you feel ashamed for that?"

Ace shakes his head and kneeled down infront of me. "I'm sorry, but you're our only hope! Lyde said you were like a professional boxer so, we think you can do it!" This damn brother of mine!… tsk, I never told anyone about that side of mine!

"No I'm not!" I denied.

Lyde stood up from his bed and yelled. "Liar, you used to beat me so easily when we were training under dad together!"

"Eh, seriously?!"

"Shut the hell up, that's not true!"

"Dad also told me that you were never defeated in spars and that you were unbeatable, so why can't you just help us beat up a few guys?!"

"Because I don't want to!" And that's not what girls should do.

We all stopped for a moment until Lyde started crying. Is he seriously that stupid!? "I won't stop begging until you help me!"

"Tch, do what you want. I'm leaving." And before I could take a step out of the room, Ace grabs my arm to stop me. "Hey, let go of me!"

"Please… please help us." He begged himself, tears were also forming on the corners of his eyes. What a bunch of cry babies.

"Come on, sis! Just this once, please help me out!" Lyde even start to sob.

They were absolutely embarassing! People outside the room can even see the drama they're making. Before I embarass myself more, I close the door once again to talk with these two. "Can't you guys stop crying?! Are you that desperate to embarass yourselves like this?!"

"We are desperate! We don't stand a chance against those guys!" They admitted. By taking a good look at them, they were right about not standing a chance in fighting delinquents. They can be easily become a punching bag.

I sighed knowing that I won't be able to leave this room that easy. Ace was still holding onto me, and just like my brother, he was already tearing up again. I can't help but feel ashamed in their place, guys like them would never be manly.

"…fine. I'll do it." Hearing my answer, both of them changed their mood so quickly.

"Waaah, you're the best sis!" Lyde cried out of joy.

And Ace wasn't that different from my stupid brother. "T-Thank you very much!"

"BUT!" They went stiff as I added. "I have demands you guys should meet if you really want me to do you this favor. I don't do shit for free, you know?"

"Ngg, fine. Tell us your demands."

I smirked before I looked at them seriously. "First of all, if you guys want me to do this then you should buy me the latest phone. And second, you won't have to bother me ever again after I beat those jerks."

"The l-latest phone?" They looked at one another as if they were communicating with their eyes. I know the first one was an impossible demand, where would they ever get the money for buying me a fancy phone?

"Why would you want a new phone? Don't you have one?!" Lyde asked.

I brought out my good ol' phone from my pocket and showed it to them. "Yeah, and you can see it's all cracked up." My phone was actually doing okay before I got a call from gramps about Lyde, until a bunch bitches decided to mess with me. It was an inevitable surprise attack, but I was able to beat them all up after I got my footing back. "So yeah, I want to replace this junk now."

They began calculating about the cost and it made me laugh for a bit. I know they would never pull this off.

Then it was early in the morning when someone paid me a visit. "Here!" He handed me a rectangular box containing something extremely expensive that I have never thought he would be able to buy immediately.

I think laughed too soon. "So you'll do it now that you have the pho—"

I slammed the door shut. Maybe I was just seeing things… maybe it wasn't real. I slowly opened the door and saw Ace standing infront of the house again.

"E-Erm. Are you going to take this?" He asked, really handing the phone over to me.

"How the hell is this possible!?" I really can't believe it.

Ace gave a thumbs up and smiled proudly. "Lyde and I used all our saved up money to buy this for you, so we hope you take this and do as we request!" They have savings!? What the hell. I thought teenagers like spending recklessly than saving money.

"I… but…" he takes my hand and gives me the box. Ace continued to smile and patted me on the shoulder. "We'll be counting on you!"

"Damn it." Maybe I should've ran away yesterday rather than set demands. Now I think I have no choice but to do as they say.
