The anguish of realizing the biggest mistake of his life kept Jonathan at the edge of his seat for hours. He was sweating profusely while trying to find another way to transport his son to a foreign country. Sure, it might sound like a child neglect case without context but it was all within the sense of reason.
You see, moments ago, Jonathan received an email concerning a certain organization. PAIN is not only an event for the children of mutant education but also an organization of douchebags who organized this event in the first place. Why? To gain a sense of superiority over mutants despite their mediocre alliance that's barely maintaining itself with all the corruption and betrayal.
Jonathan opened the email and an invitation was formally requested by the Chairman of PAIN to send students from Hazard Academy for an exchange meeting to "get to know each other", it was merely an excuse to bloat about their superior school facilities and mini douchbag children.
However, the sorry excuse of an invitation was not the reason why Jonathan is in such a mangled state. It was the fact that Laurens, his son, is currently in his office and not in the city with the other children! As a person responsible for the lives of other humans and mutants, Jonathan prayed for the second time in his life that the group on the other side of the world was not causing any trouble. The reason why he was so confident in sending a group of the worst troublesome children in a city full of humans was because of Laurens, but now...
"Son, can you swim?"
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
"You're right, that would take too long..."
In disbelief, Laurens retorted. "Seriously?" but to his dismay, Jonathan ignored his comment.
Jonathan pondered about what he should do, as he walked around the room. The magic circle on the floor caught his eye... quickly, he glanced at Laurens. How could he have forgotten?!
"My son! The answer was right in front of me the whole time!"

Meanwhile...
"OH, MY GOD! LAURENS IS NOT HERE!" Daniel exclaimed in a slightly panicked state.
He was running around with a paper bag trying to breathe before Rain had enough and slapped him in the face. They were transported to an empty parking lot of an abandoned building, there was graffiti everywhere but no sign of people.
They haven't even reached the five-minute mark, and one of them was already in a state of unease. Although the others seem to be calm and collected, it was nonetheless concerning that Laurens' presence was missing.
These mutant children were an interesting bunch. Although, they could be considered people who have mingled in human society before, however, they were under heavy restraints by their families. They may seem like domesticated animals from the outside but even a cat can be a tiger. In short, without Laurens, they are a group of ticking time bombs.
"What'll we do? The person in charge isn't here" Rain apathetically commented.
"Hmph! I could care less about a beggar who's not here. I'm going shopping"
Although Veronica was one of the selected few for this foreign exchange event between the schools, she was an outsider in terms of friendship. Aside from Jace whom she is acquainted, the rest were like flies buzzing in her ears.
"WHAT?! You can't do that! Laurens isn't here, we could get in TROUBLE!" Daniel informed solemnly despite his manic expressions.
"Will you shut up? What part of 'I don't care' don't you get?..." she paused mid-sentence and turned her eyes towards Jace, "Although... If Jace stops me, I don't mind hanging 'round~"
"Might as well hang yourself while you're at it" Jace whispered under his breath.
"What was that?" Veronica raised a brow.
"I said, No. I'm not talking to you" Jace... replied to Daniel?
"Are you talking to me or her?" Daniel asked confused.
Jace was facing Daniel instead of Veronica, this caused the young rainbow man to stare at his friend in bewilderment. Despite his response being directed towards Veronica's provocation, he was not exactly facing her as one should when talking to a person. But regardless of the wrong direction Jace was facing, Veronica received the message well.
"Whatever" she replied with an eye roll before leaving the parking lot.
"And there goes the spoiled brat" Rain with his uncaring tone followed Veronica with his eyes then shifted his focus back to the others.
While Daniel was panicking, Jace pulled out a picture of Laurens and cried in a corner. Although it was just a guess, Rain thought that Jace misses a certain someone. Deeming the situation hopeless, it was up to him to save their asses!
Immediately, he rummaged through his backpack. Even though it was empty before, it was now filled with a set of uniforms and a bunch of school stationaries that they barely use back in the Academy. But the most important thing that could save them was not any of those items, it was the pamphlet buried inside the bag that could help them.
Rain unfolded the piece of folded paper and opened up a giant map. There were details and instructions as well as steps on what to do when they were in trouble. As expected of Jonathan, he did have everything covered!
"Step one, don't lose your members" Rain read the instructions.
He looked up sheepishly and the parking lot was empty. Not a single soul nor mutants.
"God damnit!"
Knowing his friends, they couldn't have gotten far. Rain tied his long luscious hair as if preparing for war, he was going into battle mode to search for his team members and he will use violence if need to.
And so, he went to the "If lost, try this" section of the map. It held details to help find lost members as well as to help members who are lost. As expected, the map had everything, even details about popular tourist spots and how to sneak inside to avoid the entrance fee.
"If lost, try finding your members in places they want to visit" Rain folded the paper to a portable size and began his search.
"Stupid Principal and his stupid pride! Just you wait Eden when I find those bastards Im coming for you next!"
