"Hey, Dofus! Pick someone your size"
Daniel's grand savior entered the scene! She wore a red coat that symbolized her passion and confidence. Her wavy brown hair flowed in the air like a nation's flag in the middle of a war, her brows scrunched in a look of disappointment like a Christian mother who just found out that his son was doing drugs. So bold, yet so... tiny?
The bullies laughed at the sight of this little girl trying to defend a guy much older than her. It was hysterical to think about but annoying if they wanted to get the job done.
"What's a kid like you doing here? Go back home to your mommy!" The crackhead replied.
"I would've, BUT YOU BITCHES HAD TO RUIN EVERYTHING!" She screamed like a murderous goose.
For someone so petite, she sure has a big heart, and an even bigger anger issue. She screamed like an enraged banshee rendering everyone —aside from Daniel, helpless on the ground. The three bullies laid down on the ground while clutching their ears in pain, it was bleeding from their busted eardrums and if the scream were to continue any longer, their brains would explode, literally. Jace on the other hand was able to withstand the shout, although he was kneeling on the ground on one knee, at least his eardrums were not busted.
Eventually, she stopped screaming. However, the damage that she inflicted bore a giant hole in the middle of the unfinished building. Jace sighed in relief, the silence in the air felt so beautiful in his eardrums. Although, he couldn't say the same for the three stooges on the ground. They were passed out.
"Huhu... My ears, they're gone!" They cried.
"Serves you right you jerks!" The petite red riding hood celebrated.
"WHAT?!" But nobody heard her... except...
"Jace! Are you okay?" Daniel exclaimed as he hurried to his friend.
Jace patted the dust on his pants, he could see Daniel about to tackle him. Unfortunately, for the fay, Jace dodged and he ultimately kissed the ground hello.
"Hey, weirdos with weird hairs! What're you doing on my turf?!" Asked the girl quite aggressively.
The two boys looked at each other with a casual "Do we answer?" look, before the dreadful moment of earlier smacked their brains into the right direction.
"We got lost, or rather he got lost and I was trying to find my buddy Rain but then I realized I was lost, so I decided to follow him instead" Daniel answered, pointing at Jace.
"Rain? Does he have long hair, looks depressed, and has a tomato juice addiction?"
"I don't know about the last part, but yeah. How'd you know?" Amazed, Daniel awaited the answer to his query.
"Seriously? I mean, same badge, same uniform, and strangely, you guys have the same weirdness surrounding you..." she expressively twirled her hand in the air with a judging smack on the lips. "Anyway, I saw your depressed buddy like 2 blocks away near the public parking."
"Yes, YES! The parking lot! That's where we tele- I mean, dropped off" He couldn't have possibly said 'teleported', right?
"Well, from the looks of where he's heading, He's probably gonna be here in... now"
Rain appeared just as she uttered her last sentence. Although he was behind the fence, Rain could see his two trouble magnets for friends. He rolled his eyes with a groan and entered the construction site. He folded the map in his hands to fit his pocket and ran towards Daniel and Jace with a death glare.
He grabbed one side of their ears and twisted it like an angry mother. The two boys cried in pain trying to unhand their pitiful ears from the clutches of the demon king.
"You IDIOTS! Just because Laurens isn't here doesn't mean you can do whatever the hell you want!" Rain expressed in fury.
"Ahh! Okay, we get it!" Daniel replied, in pain.
After a couple of banters and another set of pain. Rain released the boys and returned to his original unexpressive self, much to Daniel's disappointment.
Nevertheless, such disappointment would not last long as their mission was only beginning! They needed to find Veronica, then find a way to get to Eden Academy without causing as much trouble as they usually do, given that they do not use their powers. And if they haven't landed in jail by the end of the day, they will try to find a way to contact Laurens or the principal.
"Yo! Are you guys like, new here? D'you want me to show you around?"
Watching from the side was Red Riding Hood or at least that is what she resembles. She could not help but felt pity for these morons who did not know where they are going. Plus, she had nothing better to do, and these people seemed so... interesting!
"Young miss, you have done nothing but help us today! We are so grateful-"
"Not Me" Daniel tried to give his words of gratitude, only to be rudely interrupted by Rain at the back.
"The two of us are incredibly grate-"
"Not me either" this time, Jace interrupted.
"A screw it! I'm grateful okay? These two a**holes couldn't care less! Just leave them behind and let's go get a cup of coffee"
Daniel pulled Miss Red Riding Hood away, whilst he pouted like an overgrown child... which isn't a far comparison.
"I'm Daniel by the way" Introduced the young Fay.
"I'm Savannah Heart, nice to meetcha"
"You too, am I going the right way?"
Savannah laughed and said. "Yes, just turn left and there's a coffee shop down the street"
Contrary to what Daniel expected, Rain and Jace were following them quietly. Like a bunch of children following the mother duckling, they were walking in a line.
As they entered the coffee shop, all eyes were on them. How could they not? Three good-looking guys just entered a small coffee shop, apart from their weirdly styled hair, they were stunning young men.
Some young girls took out their phones and started snapping pictures. Meanwhile, Daniel who was a little attention whore that he was, smiled and even posed for them. Though, that did not end well for him as Rain dragged his ear around to their table.
Savannah ordered their coffee and as they were waiting. They would not have thought, that the next person to enter the coffee shop was Veronica the devil herself!
What could her purpose be?
