Chapter 4 - Memories

Tango wasn't ready for the memories he received. Tango not only remembered his conversation with Eunoric, he remembered all the years of his childhood. He was 10 years old now, but the past 10 years had been rough. His mother was abusive, he had two sisters and five brothers. His mother has had 6 husbands and his father was the newest. She was the matriarchy of their family and a cultivator. She out lived all her previous husbands and she never loved any of them. Tango felt bad for his father, he was a pawn so his own family could reach greater.

Tango's apparent siblings were all used similarly to how his own father was, either pawns or made into cultivators to be sent into battle. Tango's fate was to be a pawn as he was seen as not having any cultivation potential. It explained the crow by his side as apparently a she was also a pawn used as a token for her fellow crows to get better treatment among the avian clans. She was useless to Tango's direct family but the position the crow was given satisfied the deal. This all erked Tango He felt angry by the information about his family.

This wasn't the only information he received his previous life actions caused a complete shift in the natural order of how people become stronger. The cultivation they preformed was limited in the since of affinities to elements. If one couldn't connect to elemental energies they couldn't cultivate. Tango however could still faintly feel the the powers of the world, the aura in the air, the flow of knowledge in mana, the life-force in all living things. He knew about these things perhaps he could use them. Tango didn't have all the information though he was completely sure why elemental affinities mattered when it came to cultivation potential? He woke up with all his previous memories and information given to him by Eunoric by in that strange void.

He was still sat still in his previous seat, but looking around the room it appears more people had arrived. His brothers and sisters, but His father was sitting next to Tango. They were all in a large balcony that Tango didn't observe previously. He saw the tablet next to him, but where was the crow? He looked to his father who was sitting quietly, "what happened to the crow girl?" "Huh, oh she went to get you a snack and some tea for when you wake up. She is quite the diligent servant isn't she?" Tango nodded and picked up the tablet and started to type, but he asked "Where is my mother? Will she be here for the ceremony or is she late much like the priest and deems it not a worthy of time?" Tango's father was surprised by his son's forwardness but knew he was just curious. "She is as you put is late like the priest." Tango nodded and found information about affinities on the tablet, he needed to know why affinities mattered.

Affinities- are the what links you to the elements, those born with high affinities with the elements have strong potential and can cultivate easily in their elemental affinities. Those with many affinities have harder times cultivating but can easily reach higher levels since the higher levels require more than one affinity being mastered.| This information had more about the elemental laws and the alike, but what Tango focused on was the fact that it seemed like no one knew about pure aura. They used aura to cultivate their power but they only used the sub branches of aura in the form of the elements. They failed to notice pure aura and its potential, how odd Tango had thought it seemed information was warped over the years. He looked up other things such as the pure aura but only theories came up and all were considered as conspiracies or crazy talk.

The crow returned with a basket with a few sandwiches and some tea.
