Chapter 32 - Chapter 31

The new day is always a fresh start. It's 6am and I didn't get sleep the whole day because all I could think was about James and his talkings. He was way too sweet and was messing with my mind all night long. I couldn't shut up my eyes to sleep because as soon as I was closing them, the mesmerizing smile of James would come across my eyes and I would jolt up awake.

That's how I spent my last night. When it was 6 in the morning, I knew that I was going to have sleep so I woke up from my bed and did the only thing that I love.

Writing!

I am writing a book which is about a girl who had a lot of difficulties in her life but everyday she would wake up with a new spirit of doing something new and great. The heroine in my novel was Eliza and the hero was James.

Shocked? My friends were too when I told them that I am making this story by keeping the real Eliza and James together. This is my third book on them. I have written the other two about them too with the same name. Because of me they couldn't meet however in this novel, they'll meet for sure and the whole world will witness it.

I smiled thinking about love. What is love? I even don't know about it yet I have written three books on them. As I had published them with my name but I never showed up so they are curious to know me. People and readers have kept my as "The Romantic Writer". Though I have never experienced what romance is.

My book name is "A match made in heaven." What a beautiful name it was for such a beautiful couple; Eliza and James.

My third book is going to complete and I have taken the date of publication too. I am so happy that I'm going to publish it soon. Only the end is left and I'm going to write it today.

It took me 2 hours to write the end of the story and I knew that I was going to late for the work because I had to visit cafe too.

I got ready in a turquoise t shirt with a denim jacket and pants. I rushed downstairs and saw that it was already 8 and my cafe would have been flooded with guest because it's Friday and Friday is our busy day.

I went there and saw that everything was going smoothly and Anna gave me all the detailing of the cafe and my duty was given to Uncle Jo and I knew how capable he was. Anna told me that a new handsome man is coming to our cafe for two days and he praises us a lot.

She was literally drooling over him like she had seen Tom Cruise and on the other hand I saw Adrian rolling his eyes. I chuckled that he was jealous of that new guy because his girlfriend was head over heels for this new guy.

Anna told me that he liked my book lines but didn't ask about the author. Thank God! I don't want anyone to know other than my close friends that I'm the author of "A match made in heaven."

Emily called me a fool for concealing myself from the recognition of the world but once I had recognition and success and I knew what had happened with me.

I got call from Emily and she was scolding me for I was late and James would be there in ten minutes. I quickly made a dash from the cafe after saying bye to everyone. I did a taxi and reached the avenue.

My hair was a totally mess by now and I didn't have a mirror to see myself. I probably was looking like a ghost by now. I wanted to look decent when James would see me.

Call me self conscious but I always like to be well dressed.

I started looking here and there and then I saw a black sleek limousine parked across the street. I got an idea and I quickly rushed to it. The windows were tinted black so I could clearly see myself on the window glass.

I thanked God and quickly made my hair. I checked my clothes and I was looking decent and beautiful now.

"Thank you, to the owner. At least your car benefited me." I grinned and winked. As I was going to turn. The window was undone and I was shocked to see a smirking James Ashton sitting in the backseat of the car.

My eyes popped out and my heart slipped from its position and my jaw hung open.

What did you do, Alice!?

"Oh I thank God that my car somehow benefited you." He said while touching his heart like I had hurt his sentiments. He was teasing me and I had destroyed all my reputation.

"James! Sorry, I didn't know it was you. I knew I didn't even know if someone was there in the car." I said while whining and stamping my foot on the ground.

He chuckled and exited the car and asked his driver to leave.

"It's okay. I didn't mind." He grinned. "Well, I was here waiting for you to come and then we could enter together. That's why I was waiting for you here." He gave me his beautiful smile which would make my legs jello like they weighed nothing.

I gave him an awkward smile. "Why were you waiting for me? I mean all of them are inside and they must have done all the decorations and work. They are so brilliant." I blabbered and he smiled.

"I don't know why I was. Just, I was waiting for only you." He said and my heart skipped a beat. I broke our eye contact because he was putting me under his spell and this was not good for me at all.

"Shall we?" I said looking down and we went inside.

It was really weird to enter with him because everyone would start making assumptions that I came with him which is absolutely wrong. I immediately rushed to Emily without casting a glance to James and asked her about the progress.

Almost everything was done as we had decided. We had two choreographers who would perform on the stage as Aaron and Clara and they both would explain the audience about their unique love story.

I was busy in my work but from the corner of my eyes, I could see James staring at me. My eyes were itching to look at him but I was completely avoiding any contact with him.

"Emily, everything is perfect! Thank God!" I hugged her and she hugged me back.

"Alice!" She squeezed me in her hug. "It's just because of you and your unique idea. Because of you we made it." She broke the hug and squeezed my hands.

She genuinely smiled at me. I can do anything for that smile. She was with me during my tough times and from that day, I pledged to be with her in thick and thin.

"Alice!" She whispered in my ears and grinned. I nodded my head for her to continue.

"What's with you and James? I mean today you came with him and he's been staring at you from the moment he had entered and I can see that you're avoiding him or any contact with him." She arched her eyebrows at me.

God! Everyone was noticing not just me.

"I don't know, Emily." I said looking at her with worried expression. He's nice and I like him but this seems to wrong."

"What is wrong?" She asked me and forced me to look at her.

"James is wrong. Friendship is fine with him but this attraction is completely wrong." I whined by closing my eyes when I took his name.

Emily held my arms in her hands and forced me to open eyes. I looked at her eyes and she had a lot of hope in them.

"Alice, I have learned how to cope up from the difficulties of life from you. You have made me believe that everything happens for our own good. Don't lose hope. God has better plans for us. Let Him plan things for you." Emily smiled and to be honest her words gave me hope and courage.

My eyes filled with tears and I immediately engulfed her in my embrace. She knew what I was facing. I had seen a lot in past and I don't want to be torn, hurt and bleed again.

I broke the hug and smiled at her. My best friend was my hope.

As I was talking to her, I saw that the stage lights which were decorated with flowers was about to drop on floor. My eyes widened and I immediately started running towards it.

If this fall, we would suffer a lot of damage and there were also people standing under it and what if it falls on them?

"Alice!" Emily shouted but I didn't stop and before it could hit the people, I went and held it. It was so heavy that I was stuck under it.

People started shouting and there was a havoc. That stage was above me and I would have succumbed to If it was not for the person who came in the 11th hour and held the metal rod of stage which was going to fall on my head.

That person pulled me from my waist and I fell on his chest and I started taking long breathes.

I looked up to see James holding me in his embrace and his other hand was holding the metal rod.

I was scared that I was going to die but he saved me again. James saved me again!

He was looking at me with worried and restless expressions like a lover was looking at him beloved after she was rescued from a big problem.
