Sloane walked on the steep path carved on the mountain. It took them more than two hours to reach the opposite side of the territory.
"This will be riskier." She cautioned the siblings."
But to her shock, there was a cave in a similar end.
She hesitantly entered the cave with Twelve.
Nine was to guard the entrance and inform them of any incoming danger.
The cave seemed endless. She looked at a pile of luggage that was stacked in a safe corner that wasn't visible to a blind eye. She reached for the sheet of dirty cloth and pulled it away.
Gasp*
She suddenly backed away from the boxes.
"Weapons?!"
She picked up a sword. Her hands were trembling. They weren't the weapons used by the kingdom.
"This symbol...Nethilorian army is here?!" She took a glance and headed further into the cave.
This was even more alarming. The cave had a hole large enough for an armed soldier to pass through it.
"Twelve...you stay here and wait for me."
"But milady... it's dangerous-"
"I'll be fine...just guard against here. I can take care of myself."
She crouched and continued her way into the hole.
It leads her to the same place where they took shelter last night.
- "A link within the mountain...I must inform you about this, to father."
She finally saw a dim light in some distance.
"Who's there?" The assassin twins were about to attack her but we're blocked by Sloane's swift moves.
"Milady?!" They were rather shocked to see her sudden appearance.
"You've got to practice more to defeat me." Sloane sarcastically commented.
"Go check out if Tristan and Jack need help with the other groups. We'll reach their territory to capture their flags. One of you shall stay here."
She headed back to where Twelve patiently guarded the area.
Sloane stood up and took a small knife that rested in one of the large boxes as evidence.
"Let's go before they come to find us roaming in their territory."
—————
"That's four down. What about you kiddo?Need any help?" Tristan called to Jack who landed his final blow on the opponent with the blunt edge of his sword.
"No thanks. I'm done over here."
-"Are they monsters?" a person hiding behind the rock whispered.
-"They're only two of them. You go attack from the other side."
The other soldier whispered.
"Hello~World?" Tristan grinned as he loomed over the terrified soldier.
"Aaaaaah~!"
The other soldier attacked Jack behind his back which resulted in injuring his arm.
"Nggghh!" Jack barely dodged restraining himself from letting out a single sound.
Blood slowly seeped out of the deeply cut wound.
He had no choice but to kill the soldier. But the man dodged his attack.
As he jumped back the boy's eyes fell on a particular mark that was exposed.
Splash*
There went the blood and he slowly halted on the ground staring at the young boy.
Thud*!
"He's down?"
"I told you to rely on me for help did I, not kiddo?" Tristan stood behind the man holding his blood-covered axe.
