"I'm here for Saintess Yvonne's light."
—"If I remember correctly, in the past timeline this was the major cause of conflict between the two countries. As a result, it was sealed away where not a ray of light could reach."This didn't happen before she became a member of the Knights Order.
"You! How did you know about it?"
"Who wouldn't know the famous myth shared by two kingdoms? Atlanta and Nethiloria. Both nations received the saintess's blessing. After she ascended back to the sky she left 'the light of heaven' and 'the tear of destruction.' The light of the saintess was supposedly given to Nethiloria. But Alas! Atlanta claimed both gaining ultimate power from them by professing that the line of the saintess's descendants was to rule the sole kingdom. This caused ultimate chaos disrupting the treaty between the two kingdoms. Tsk Tsk Tsk."
"So you are from Nethiloria." Sloane held her sword tightly inquiring his whereabouts.
"I am but at the same time, I'm not."He replied.
" What do you mean?"
"Milady isn't a child to not understand me."
—"The info documents!" her mind suddenly clicked.
"Oh! Or maybe you really are just a kid." He chuckled.
"Enough talking. Finish them off except for that red-eyed girl-" He directed them.
Splash*
The blood rapidly gushed out of the cloaked men who charged at her.
Three more were taken down. Nine shot the arrows cutting the wind.
"Nine!" she turned back seeing him tearfully hugging the girl one last time.
"What about her?"
"..."
He hung his head without a reply preparing to shoot the next three down.
Sloane took a final glance at the archer girl peacefully lying on the forest bed. She sympathized with him.
He pulled out his dagger darting towards Tristan at full speed.
"Nine! Wait!" Sloane tried to follow him but was blocked by Tristan's devoted minions.
Clash!*
His dagger was blocked by his axe. He used his axe to leap into the air.
Frantically looking for the archer boy one of his men cautioned against the incoming blow.
"Captain up in the air!"
Before he could dodge him he dearly paid off his forearm that remained partly intact with the upper limb.
"Gaaaaahhh!"He screamed in pain beyond his imagination.
" This isn't enough to pay for her life."He loomed over him emitting a great aura but was empty from heart.
His memory of her flashback in his mind.
"Twelve why do you keep looking at the tanned guy?"
"
B-brother!No, I wasn't!"Twelve panicked blushing.
"Oh~?I see a damsel in love with a knight?" Nine teased her.
"Brother please stop teasing me."
"You are serious?" He asked in shock. Never did he witnessed this side of his little sister before this day.
"Fine, I get it. I'll judge whether that Tristan is a
good match for you. After all, I'll have to protect my beloved little sister's future at all costs. When the ceremony ends why not confess up your feelings to him?"He patted her head gently.
She blushed again shyly nodding her head.
-"Is this the guy you fell for Twelve? You made a choice that cost your life."
"Yet I couldn't save her."The dying girl switched with the previous memory.
At that moment Tristan's evil grin was all he could see.
"You'll die a poor death just like your beloved over there."
Sloane had taken down the other three blocking her. Turning to them she saw a bunch of hooded men targeting him.
"Nine Look out!"
But the men were killed by another unknown group in one shot.
Sloane looked up in the trees. The assassins were being captured.
"Throw your weapons on the ground and surrender." A voice bellowed from behind her.
"And don't dare resist."
She looked back only to find out that the voice was none other than that of Sir Lucas.
"Sir Lucas!" She beamed leaving her guard down that caused an unknown arrow directing at her.
"Milady! Look out!" Lucas ran towards her drawing his sword.
