Chapter 2 - The girl.

"What did he see Nonno, what did he see?" The curly-haired child questioned. "The question is more who he saw Mimmo." His elderly grandfather challenged in response. "Well who was it then Nonno, tell me... tell me..."

Signorina Olive Reeve could feel the crunch of the cool snow beneath her feet but she did not feel the cold. Her icy, pale skin reflected her immunity to the harsh temperatures. The crystal blue dress she wore hung on her slight frame, hugging her every curve. Icicles submerged themselves within her platinum hair, and the snowflakes crowned her as their queen.

Now Signorina Reeve you could say looked a-likened to that of a ghost. She resembled a porcelain doll, that could easily be broken. Miss Reeve however, was anything but a porcelain doll. Never let her innocent looks persuade you other wise, they tend to trick those who have the fortune of meeting her.

The ragazza herself was not like the people of Rocca di Papa, no she was a different. Although she could've passed by a sick child with flu, it wasn't the same. She would've looked to out of place in the quaint little town. If her frosty exterior did not give that fact away, her sharpened ears would.

Unlike most pixies in the province, Miss Reeve did not tend to stick the rules placed upon her kind. She was outsider, a lone wolf one could say. An explorer in her own right. Olive was wander, this was no secret to that who had met her once before. So when she disappeared that cool December morning, no one thought twice. When she did return as dusk approached, few noticed. Those that did were not surprised by her sudden disparture. She did not tend to hang around very long anyway. They called her a lo zingara. She was like the wind in the trees they said, never staying longer than few a days.

Signorina Reeve had caught the bug years ago, was never able to be healed. Either that, or she just never allowed herself to return home. Some say that her father was one of the many reasons why she left. He was always possessive over his little Principessa. Maybe it was because his eldest two moved on so fast, left him behind dwelling over lost time. But enough about him, he wasn't there, she hadn't seen him for years.

Olive Reeve was not one who would purposely stumble upon quaint villages like that of Rocca di Papa. Not unless she had reason. The ragazza herself had never come in contact with that of one species whom they call human.
