Minerva closed the door behind her before joining Ambrose in the room.
"Do you think you're all right?" Minerva inquired after a long stare at Ambrose. She appeared pale, as if she had become ill out of nowhere.
"I'm alright," Ambrose said, with a tiny nod. She expressed herself.
"If you so desire. I'm going to freshen up and will be back soon." Minerva said as she gathered her belongings and went to the bathroom.
Her heart felt pierced by a hot knife.
"He's in a relationship." As tears flowed down her face, she mumbled to herself.
'Did his father reject that woman, which is why he's courting her? Is it because she's powerful and beautiful, as Minerva claims, that he fell in love with her?' She was thinking to herself.
She mistakenly assumed that the woman Lucky was with was his lover.
She cherished Lucky, and learning that he was dating a woman made her resentful of herself.
