When the metal door opened again, to which she had been expectantly and impatiently waiting for it to open, her eyelids cracked open as the light from outside illuminated the room and hutting her face in the process.
She winced a little due to the light that hit her eyes. It hurt so she quickly shut them and tried opening them again but this time, she did it slowly so as to adjust to the light.
It had felt like hours since the two men had been there earlier. They hadn't fed her as they had discussed and the so called doctor hadn't come as well. Had they forgotten about it or what?
Perhaps, this was the said food being brought to her now or it was the doctor who had arrived.
Thinking about food, she wouldn't mind if it came from hunters or the kidnappers at the moment because she was starving. Her stomach growled causing a sharp stinging pain in her intestines.
