Lucky took in a deep breathe. He wasn't sure how he was going to beat let alone kill the dark mythical creature that would be out in two days now.
Yes, two days!. He now had two days to figure out everything so that he'd have the star of salvation to himself.
According to Akaya's thoughts, he wasn't supposed to give out the star to anyone. That wasn't a problem, but how was he going to help out Rufus?. He was to get that star because of him so if he wasn't supposed to give Rufus the star, why was he depressing himself with these matters then?.
Oh he was to stop the mythical creature and the said chaos from taking place and he would keep that star for himself, not for the power but to keep it safe.
He needed someone to talk to. Someone to tell what was going on and the plan he had in mind, it would have been his Father but right now his Father was busy with his mate and talking right now wouldn't be a good idea. His Father would obviously talk to him in a similar cold demeanour like last night and he didn't want that.
He took his laptop from his bedside table and opened it. Right now, he'd do what he'd promised himself the previous night. Searching for a condo which would be where he'd stay because he had a feeling that once Rufus came back and with his mother around, things wouldn't be the same for him anymore.
He typed up what he wanted. Lofts looked to be better than condos and he couldn't debate on which to take so he chose both. But first, he had to go see those houses for himself.
The camaro he had wanted had already been brought, he'd use it to go where he wanted but later, he promised to buy himself his car and use the camaro on missions.
Lucky quickly took his car keys and driving license and left.

Aisha walked in the kitchen followed by her daughter Araminta only to find Akaya there busy cooking.
She stood there watching how Akaya cooked. What was the stranger doing in the kitchen?. They hadn't been formally introduced yet and this stranger was acting as if she owned the place already.
Aisha cleared her throat loudly causing Akaya to stop what she was doing and look at her.
Finally, she was now looking at her once best friend. Yeah, once best friend because Akaya was so sure that Aisha didn't like her even one bit and that old friendship wouldn't be back. Seriously, how was she going to tell Aisha that she was Ninah in a different body?. Aisha wouldn't believe her, moreover, hadn't Plutonic asked her to stay away from them?.
"What are you doing?". Aisha asked.
Akaya looked at the pot of stew she had been stirring a few minutes earlier before the interruption and looked back at Aisha.
Akaya had to admit that Aisha looked a little different from the way she looked twelve years ago. She had gained some weight and her hair was more curly and a little longer. Of course, it had been twelve good years, how did she expect her not to change?.
Her eyes shifted down to the little girl beside Aisha. Before she had died, she had left Aisha pregnant, the girl beside her was a complete replica of her, obviously this was that little girl whom Aisha was expectant with years ago.
Aisha cleared her throat again. The stranger had zoned out on her and was looking down at her daughter.
To be sincere, Aisha didn't trust this stranger an ounce and so, she took a step forwards to block the stranger's view from Araminta.
"Oh!". Akaya exclaimed coming back from her cloud of thoughts, "I'm cooking".
"I can see that". Aisha remarked.
"Then why did you ask?". Akaya thought to herself as she turned back to the pot of stew to cover it with a lid so that she'd let it cook for a few minutes.
"What are you cooking?". Aisha asked.
"I've cooked chapatis and now I'm cooking the stew, there's cake in the oven and I want to cook the chicken". Akaya replied as she pointed to the raw chicken on top of the kitchen island.
"And who told you that you could cook here?". Aisha asked with a snort. "Whom do you think you are? Huh?. You just came here yesterday fatally injured only the heavens know what they did to heal your injuries so quickly and here you are cooking!. Who told you to cook?". Aisha questioned, her arms crossed against her chest.
Wow, that was such a temper.
"I... I thought-". Akaya started but was cut short by Aisha.
"You thought wrong. If you think that you'll buy us over with some food then you're wrong!. Don't serve that food to my family, we don't want to be poisoned". Aisha said, sizing Akaya up and down with her eyes before walking towards the fridge and taking out the glass jug containing orange juice, she then took three glasses from the glass cabinet and placed them on a tray.
"I hope you've not poisoned this". She remarked and turned to leave but Lucky appeared on the doorway.
"Hey Aunt. Hey Araminta". Lucky greeted.
Aisha placed the tray she was holding on the kitchen island beside the kitchen and turned to face Lucky.
"Luckyyy you smell so good". Araminta shouted as she hugged him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "What did you use?".
Lucky gave out a small smile, "It's called cologne Araminta".
"Oh!". She exclaimed as she pulled away.
Lucky turned to face Aisha but couldn't help to look at Akaya who stood a few meters from them, she was staring back at him with a small smile.
Akaya remembered when he was just four, when he had requested his name to be changed and that's when the name "Lucky" had been formed. She smiled wider at the fond memory but he looked away from her and back to Aisha.
She had been right. Aisha wouldn't like her. Actually, Aisha was very rude and cold towards her that it pained her to know that their old friendship would never be back.
Things would never be the same between them unless she used her own body and identity which would be impossible.
She would have known that rejection was prone to be in her life once she had agreed to come back using a different body and identity.
"Lucky, would you like some chapatis?". Akaya asked.
Lucky turned to face her. "No thanks. Chapatis will ruin my abs which I'm working hard for".
To be honest he didn't mean to be rude but she had asked for it. Everyone knew he rarely ate and if he ate he'd personally prepare his own food. If she intended on staying in their pack then she'd better know that.
That wasn't the real reason behind him rudely rejecting her offer. The reason was her coming in between his relationship with his father. A relationship that he had worked hard to build for the past twelve years by doing whatever his Father asked him to do. He turned out to be his Father's little cybog which he didn't mind so long as he was close to his father, but now, things were changing fast, he could feel it and it was all her fault.
"Oh. I'm sure having just a little wouldn't hurt. You should eat a full meal which I'd more healthier". Akaya insisted. Lucky had never rejected her food no matter what but then, she forgot, that was twelve years ago.
Now was different.
She had been gone for so long and now her little boy was all grown up into a teenager... with abs.
The gods only knew how he had survived all these years like this. Did he have a full meal?. Did he skip his meals?.
Wait a minute, they were supernaturals and supernaturals burnt a lot of calories so there was no way chapatis or any other food high in calories could ruin his abs.
It hit her like a brick upon realisation, Lucky hated her.
"I said no". Lucky remarked looking at her straight in the eye as if to confirm that her thoughts were right.
Aisha smiled. At least, Lucky seemed to hate the stranger he and his father brought home. That was a good sign, She would talk to Lucky to throw the woman out.
"I want chapatis". Araminta replied looking over at the stranger at the corner whose smile had long disappeared.
Akaya brought up a small smile on her face to cover up for the disappointment she had a few minutes ago.
"Okay sweetheart. Just a minute". Akaya replied.
"Don't you dare. I warned you not to serve any of that crap to my family or have you forgotten?". Aisha asked almost in a yell, turning to face Akaya while pointing her index finger at her.
Akaya stopped on her tracks, "I'm ... I'm sorry".
"You better be". Aisha replied between gritted teeth, turned to carry her tray that was on the kitchen island and left while pulling Araminta's hand so that she'd go with her.
