The shimmering on the ice that had covered Carl, stopped. Not only that happened, but as well as the ice that had covered Carl, melted away leaving behind a cold corpse that fell on the hardwood floor in a thud.
"At least, if there are any nightwings left, they can pay their last respects to him." Lucky said.
"I thought phoenixes could revive back to life?" Ram asked, looking down at Carl's grey colored body.
"That depends on whether the phoenixes is alive or not. There is a possibility that he might reincarnate but that's a slim chance. If your phoenix is dead, there is nothing more that one can do... but if it's still active, then all his people have to do is to preserve his body well in case his phoenix wants to come back to this body." Lucky explained.
"It's that complicated, huh? Not to mention the fact that his phoenix might want to use another body and not this one, so this body will become useless." Ram said, earning a nod from Lucky.
