Chapter 10 - Chapter 9:|Do Anything To Change Our Scared Writings Of Fate|

Irritated, I twindled my fingers again when Mary abruptly placed her hands over mine in a alarm.

"Woah,Woah, wait! You know, you shouldn't waste your manna like this..It could cause great damage to your own health, Anasta-chan."

"Oww..I know!" I pouted and dramatically stamped air with my boot as though I was gonna murder it.

Mary chuckled at my expression.

"You are still, ever so childish Anaste-chan.... It's such a pity that, someone as innocent and naive as you, must be tied up to an evil villaness character because of her treacherous fate."

I abruptly looked at her. It was a soft whisper but, I clearly heard what she said to me, more like herself.

The sun just then peeked from the half-open window --- probably cause of the gusty wind outside, and a beautiful innocent smile enlightened the little teenager's face.

"I am so happy to have you here. Anastasia-chan."

Her little white teeth sparkled with a happy grin and she gently embraced my palms with hers.

"It is such an honor to have Nobel like you from a popular fairytale to be a friends with a lowly nursery rhyme character like me."

She smiled, but I could easily see through, the same remarkable facede that couldn't be detected by anyone but those the practice the same art.

"Hey.." I cried softly. "I may be from a popular fairytale. But, I am still a just a villainess, remember..?" I tried to console her. "So, I can understand exactly how you feel".

"Hmmp.." She let out a little sniff. Her eyes spoke her true miserable feelings.

"It's.. It's.. So unfair, Anastasia-san..."

"....."

"Aren't we human too? But, why should we be differenciated like this. Villainess, Heroines, Characters from a Nobel origin, Characters from Peasent-hood, The Characters from the Popular Fairytales, the Characters from piteous Nursery Rhymes that are so short and simple that they can only be said to the "little kids" from the other world.. Even though we were the ones who were made first"

"..." I shut my mouth unable to talk more.

"Why must we all be haunted by all these storylines every single life?" She asked. "We get treated miserably based on our stories and none of our real feelings really matters to anyone.. Don't they?"

"Well.. I guess, you are right about that.. " I mussed softly.

She was right.

It really sucks that everything in our kingdom are based upon these lowly social norms. Though every single character in our world has a seperate soul and body with individual identities and dreams, we are obligated to follow whatever our story line tells about us. No matter how many times we are recarnated or the number of versions we are altered into our destiny has already been set before us...No matter how many times we object it.

And, for a lowly nursery character like Mary things must really be hard, since she doesn't even have money and richness to console her soul with, like me.

"Our sacred writings of fate.. If only..I-I could change it...I will dare to do anything.. Anything for it,..W-Won't you too Anasta-chan?" she asked me stumbling upon her words.

Mary's eyes filled with a passion I have never ever seen before.

I stood dazzled by the fire in it and the feeling I know Mary felt now is, almost like Prince Zenon's during the fight with the Golden Dragon.

I smiled.

"Of course, I will, more than anything! " I answered when the door opened again.

"Mary.. I am so disappointed to tell you this.. But.. I am sorry.. Your lamb has escaped again!" Interuppted the Granny Alchemist all alarmed, in between her breaths.

She had obviously tried chasing it. But, frantically failed as The Little Lamb only listens to Mary, it's owner.

I chuckled as Mary rushes down to chase it.

Poor granny.

I admit, It's a very sweet behavior to be loyal, only to the person who had raised us. (most of the time) But, during other occasions like this..This is how troublesome that loyal behavior could be especially when Mary hadn't trained the lamb well.

Though, She is trying her best to do so, knowing the lamb would soon bother her with her education.

Unfortunately, the Granny Alchemist caught me chuckling and turned her mean malicious glare at me.

"Oh, I swear, Jack would never take the beans from you if you glare like that, Granny"

I mocked again but, soon regreted when her glare turned more terrifying.

Oh.. Dear.. I guess, I crossed the line... I shunddered back. I am surely gonna be kicked out of here,now..

"You ..!"

"Yes! " I said obediently.

"Take care of the shop as Mary's substitute.. "

"Huh? "

"Mary told me to inform it to you, before she left. You have to lawfully pay for those clothes RIGHT!?" she screamed and my ears echoed with the sound.

BOINGGGG...

"Ah, yes.. Hai.. Hai.. " I said sarcastically and climbed downstairs.

That crafty Mary! I knew she might put me on a glitch like this! Being a daughter of a low ranked business man, Mary thought that life is like a business. She never offers help nor does she even have a conversation with anothet person if it didn't provide her any profit or favor. She never admits any waste of times in her lives.

But, It goes well with me since, I always make sure my relationship with her is valuable by sharing rich properties and leak secrets of the state, only few knows, though I have never seen her do the same with me.

I know, That's a pretty bad attitude for a friend. But, as long as she doesn't treat me weirdly as a villainess, I am contented in having a acquaintance like her.

"Ah, I am so exahasted" I stretched my arms and yawned. "So, What are you gonna do Granny? "

"I am gonna sleep for a while.

An old woman like me needs some rest after all.. "

"What!? But, I was dying to sleep, from the moment I got here." I abruptly stopped walking startled at the reply and ran up stairs fast, retreating.

The door slammed on my face.

"But.. "

"Shut up and get to work, girl! A youngster like you should work and not sleep got it!" I hear her muffled yell behind the door.

I pouted.

"But, this doesn't mean youngsters, do not get tired at all Granny!"

I stood for a few seconds waiting for a reply but found none.

I let out a sigh and soon inhaled the scent of the three petaled flowers of the medicinal creepers the stairs handles were decorated with.

I quietly looked around the enormous room. There were bottles portions, pills, spell books and other medicinal herbs everywhere. That's Granny Alchemist to you. She really might be an old lady who only sells the magic beans to the protagonist Jack but.. Her discoveries and invention of new magic are just.. Wow..
