Happy endings, true friends, dreams.
I have always felt like those words were never meant for me. Like those words were a luxury that belonged to world that was too expensive to afford.
But, I might be lying if I said, I didn't yearn for them.
Being reincarnated as a villainess for way too many lives in different kinds of versions, I had already given up on my dreams, to be the main character of my fairytale, unleashed from all the shackles of fate that had bind me. And, spread my wings towards the destiny, I wanna recreate for myself.
But, still ..... I closed my eyes gently and unleased the locks of my mind to let it flow freely...
A Memory.. Of how I knew it so well....

"I-I am not afraid of you...because.. "
It was one fine day when I confessed it. One fine spring morning with the soft cherry blossom flowers covering the pleasant atmosphere with it's blessings.
I was alone in the forest training magic as my mother was busy paying attention to our new guest, her pen friend whom she had met for the first time. It seemed that she was a normal Countess of some little town in Fairytale.
She was a extremely beautiful blonde lady with a very fair complexion and if recall, she almost looked like..
Arrgh, forget it. I don't remember the details...
I was too busy thinking how to escape the awkward meeting scenario for noticing it.
Guests were common to our house since my mother had just started dating my future step father. And, I personally found them very annoying.
So, I had quietly snuck out of the house at the moment without bothering to even get a single glimpse of the woman and her little doll faced son. But, thinking back now..
I really regret it.
...
The residuals of the little bright visionary with tiny sparking jade eyes that captured an enormous dream. And, a cheerful smile on her rosy red lips that carefully held the words of hope for a better end, still remains in my memory..
"..I have a dream to accomplish!.. "
My six year old version panted for breath, trapped behind a tall tree as the silhouettes of the other kids grew more larger and scarier. I don't really recall their faces. But, I knew they were the minor mob characters of their fairytale.
"...Becoming a true princess is my dream! Because only then, will the whole kingdom of Fairytale acknowledge and start respecting me..I will become a heroine one-day and I-I swear.. I will!"
"Ha haha..A little dreamer.. Huh?"
" Are you seriously out of your mind? There is no way a villainess like you, could become a princess, neither through royal blood nor through a marriage.. Know your place, brat!"
The kids laughed at me. But, I..
"I know, but.. T-That's more of the reason, I wanna be a p-princess. I am gonna become a heroine. And, I don't need a Prince Charming nor a royal blood parent for fulfilling it! Coz one day, I am gonna become a person who is admired by everyone else, all on my own! And, not even you can stop me?!!?"
"Bha..she is so annoying. Get out of our area, kid. A vermin like you isn't allowed here on our area.."
"Ya, ya, you'll pollute our pure minds with your evil ideas, like my mother told me.."
The silhouette of the young boy became more and more closer until.
"No! I need to.. Aaaaah.."
The little boy grabbed my long clumsy red hair and tossed me out of the only place that helped me to believe on my hopes.
I closed my eyes tightly.
Big enormous tears fell from my eyes as a strong pain escalated from my hurting head. Red shiny strands of my thick locks gently descended on the land.
But, still, I grit my teeth and pout my lips, refusing to call out for help.
"Apologize and never return again, kid. We'll forgive you.. "
"Never!"
My head hurts so much.
But, no. If I go back now.. I will never be able to return here again. And, no no.. I don't want that, I wanna train hard and change my fate. To become someone people acknowledge beyond my slinky villainess facade. I just can't leave here!
That's what I thought, when help suddenly arrived.
I opened my eyes and saw a little four-year old stretch his toy wooden sword before those bullies gritting his teeth.
"L-leave her alone!! I-I o-order y-you.. "
His voice was obviously trembling and height never even matched the half of those bullies. But, still he put up a brave face and stood up against him.
"Don't worry, B-Big sister, I will save you.. " He said courageously as his legs miserably danced before my own eyes.
" What do you think you are doing little kid-.."
Suddenly, I noticed a scary glare pierce towards our direction.
I gasped.
"Run away! Boy!" I yelled on top of my voice.
But, the little boy's feet was already frozen on the spot. He seemed too scared to take another step.
"..Grrr... Are you making us, seem like the bad guys, now..?"
The bully laughed loud as though his face replaced a furious tiger. He then, bent his wrist slightly taking out the knuckles of his fingers and extended his hand warming up for a powerful punch.
The little kid shuddered a step back in more fear and..
Bang!
A punch suddenly landed on the bully's face as gravity pulled him back by the intense force applied on him.
My pupils shrunk in horror and my sight abruptly pierced at my two child-like hands that had now punched him.
I blinked in bafflement when a soft yet strong arm immediately yanked back mine.
Did.. I.. Just..?
"Big Sis, Run!" The little kid had abruptly grabbed my hands and we ran towards the other end with the other kids following us in utter fury.
My heart slammed across my chest as I follow his lead and enter a familiar location.
"My.. Home..? But, how..? Wait, the guard wouldn't allow you in little boy!"
"It's alright! The guard knows who I am!? I am with my mother as your house's guest. So, don't worry about him, Big sis!"
"Guest!? Then you are the son of my mother's pen friend?? Kid, why did you come here!?"
"It doesn't matter, why! We must get out of here, big sis!" Even his voice sounded squeaky, like a little duck but still it was bold that I was automatically instinct to trust his words.
And, true his word the guard recognized us and opened the big white gate to let us pass through simultaneously saving us from the those bullies.
.
.
.
A deep sigh escaped the lips of both the young children. The little boy slowly stretched his body on the tall soft grass, we were now lying on and relaxed.
The Rottenstein Estate mansion stood around the corner. And, the fresh smell of roses my mother loves growing in her private garden peeked our noses. Our estate is one of the most beautiful mansions of Fairytale and could almost calm any perplexed mind that enters it.
So soon enough, a warm blushed cheerful smile replaced the boy's fear stricken face as a cozy wind drifted away all the cold sweat that had rolled down on the kid's nervous face.
I smiled. So this kid knows how to smile too Huh? Now that I notice it... Trying hard to act like a prince but unfortunately coming out as a child who is desperately trying to act brave...
Hehe.. He's so cute.
I abruptly pinched the rosy cheeks of the little child and pulled it with an angry scowl that powered up my face.
"What do you think, you are doing, kid? "
"I wash jusht tryin toh shaave yuu" the boy squeaked from his puckered lips.
"Save, me? Who do you think you are? A Prince Charming? I admit boys like you, might feel that way when you see a pretty, beautiful, admirable princess like me but.. "
"Big Shis.."
"You are just a child now and I would have gotten the situation completely under my control. If.."
"Big Shis!"
"What..!? Huh..?"
I abruptly took of my palms from the kid's cheeks when I saw enormous balls of tears roll from his face.
Ah-Ow.. I got on with the flow and pinched too much.
"THAT HURTS BIG SIS!!??! " The kid burst to tears startling the little birds singing around the atmosphere.
"Aw.. Stop crying.. I said, I am sorry.. Ok.."
"YOU NEVER SAID YOU ARE SORRYYY."
