"My payment, you—" Nikita said to Ken who looked disbelievingly at Nikita. The man was richer than all of them combined and still wanted more money? What the hell was going on in his mind anyway?
"You have more money than—" Ken whined but Carrie, Qiao, and Nikita responded unanimously.
"A bet is a bet. If you lose, you pay up or you won't ever sit on the poker table" the trio said before high-fiving each other like they hadn't almost kicked their asses earlier. It was nice seeing them this happy, a family that wasn't barred by so many misfortunes.
"Fine, whatever," Ken said as he scooped the gold pellets from his pocket. He shouldn't have made the stupid deal if he had known he would lose.
