Addicted to magics and myths, Yuna has been knowledgeable about gods and myths, specifically Greek Mythology. She dug up her mind about the goddess herself.
Hecate, was (is) the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, Moon, ghosts and necromancy. The only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria. She was often depicted holding two torches or a key.
Looking at her... Mm, Well she has a torch like scepter and she also seem magical. Possibly "the Hecate" in my mind.
At the same moment the Goddess wondered. How come there is a human soul in the Boundary. Only I and the 'workers' can enter or pass through here. Any soul to attempt to enter here will vanish, just gone, yet there is one in front of me. She even found the gate to 'that' world.
Examining Yuna's soul body, Hecate noticed the changing gradient blue color of her hair and eyes, half way. And her soul body is emiting an aura, a faint but powerful one.
Auras are only for those who are from the 'that' world but a human soul with an aura, there was never been a case. Oh wait, there was one when that era began. Could this one be her's?
"Goddess, I would like to know if this is real or is it just in my head." , Yuna directly asked.
"What do you think?", she replied spreading her arms presenting the present.
Well it feels real to me, wait speaking of real, "Am I dead?" , exclaimed this question out of my mind.
Hecate gracfully laugh and answered. "I think not. Humans who have died, their souls goes to the Spirit World yet here you are."
If this is not the spirit world then where... Pointing at the gate behind me, "Where is this and you said the no human soul is allowed to enter here. So where do this lead?".
She is a human but the change in her soul body, she might be half. Even so, she has the right to know 'that' world.
"Astral World. That gate behind you leads to the Astral World."
Astral World? Is not that the same with Spirit World? Yuna thought based on the animes, novels and movies she had watched and read before.
As if Hecate read her mind she ellaborate the difference between the two worlds. Spirit World is where living beings' soul with no magical aura goes. The souls will first be interrogated, asked if they have regrets or how their life was. Examining their answers and their soul bodies they will be cleansed but for those who have tragic sins will be purified.
Cleansing is where they forgive their sins just their sins and not the persona whose lived in the soul. Purification includes the persona itself leaving an empty soul vessel. The soul vessel will be placed in a certain room. The workers there who clean the soul vessel properly to get them ready to have life in the Earth are called Purus.
And for the Cleansed souls will be given a choice. To get Reincarnated on Earth whether to become a human, an animal, a plant and many other living organisms or to live in the Spirit World leisurely until forgotten or purified, still the option to get reincarnated is still there but there will be some tests to make.
However in the Astral World, it is where the souls with aura goes after they die. Aura is a magical energy that comes from within. But not only souls there are living magical creatures too, they are called Majicai. Most of them stay in this world since it is the most peaceful world that magical creatures can live. They can live on Earth too but they are too magical or out-of-earth beings that humans can't see nor know they exist. Just when 'that' era began.
"Those are the two worlds we are surrounded of. And here, on where we are standing, is the Boundary. Do not worry. I will let you know the 'this-that' era." Hecate added and continued.
This endless fog place is the border of the two worlds mentioned, the Boundary. The higher ups who govern the two worlds, gods and the workers like the Purus and Death, can only cross or enter this place.
"Now any questions my dear?". You made it look too easy but it's hard to take them all in. Of course I have questions, tons of them.
Then, that worker pinned in my mind, Death. "The Death you said, is one of the workers right? What are they? " confirming my deep thought's question.
"The death you've known is what you call of the event where a person dies but Death originally are the messenger of 'god. They are sent to the Earth to retrieve the souls of those who died not take them from the body itself as if they are the reason why they die.
"Souls will eventually leave their physical bodies, some call it Soul vessel, when the body itself is not compatible with the soul to use and live. Death are the guides of the souls to the Spirit World."
"Do souls see Death when they are about to 'leave' their bodies? And what do they look like?" , Are they like wearing a black-hooded cloak covering their whole body. Carrying a death scythe held by a skeleton hand?, Yuna said inwardly.
"Death take the form of those whom they love that has passed away and yes, they can see them when they are on the 'Death's door'." the Goddess answered.
So I really am not dead. I didn't saw someone I love that has passed. Remembering before Yuna lost consciousness she saw a green light that shone. Then she quickly asked Hecate, "Goddess, Do death emit a bright green light?".
"No, they do not. Why?" at the back of her mind the goddess felt that something's wrong. Bright green light? Could it be? She frowned.
Gladly, they do not. Looking at the goddess face, Yuna noticed that there is something troubling the goddess. She was about to speak but a loud sound rang that cut her off.
Klang!
Goddess Hecate calmed down and spoke calmly. "That's our time. You have to go back. If you see again the source of the green light you have said, beware around it. Say my name when you dream in your sleep when you encounter it again.
"And another reminder. When you return to your world, please restrain yourself from telling the others about what you heard here. A dream or not, it is for your safety.
"We'll talk some time soon, my dear. "—if Time allows us, she added inwardly. Hecate waved her right hand as Yuna's soul body vanished.
"Wait—", Yuna raise her "arm" but her vision became black.
Hecate put the hood over her head and tap the "floor" with her scepter. In a blink of an eye she is sitting on a marble chair with a big round mable table in her front surrounded by same marble chairs, sitting on them are blur figures with same gray robe.
