Majicai are generally group by their species. They are like the animals we have but they are more mythical and much of have special features. There are four-legged mammals, flying creatures, reptiles and amphibians, forest life, sea creatures, underworld and the most powerful, the gods and the goddesses.
Those are the general groups they are called Familia, thus also with the humans that were granted by an aura were grouped based on the Familia.
The main families on each human race-majicai. Foxglove for the four-legged mammals. Had the features or abilities of cats, wolves, dogs, tigers and more.
Wisteria, flying creatures specifically birds.
Hortensia for sea creatures, Sirenas including.
Hemlock for forest life. All organisims that lives in the forests, woody places, mainly the Duwendes, Dryads and many more.
Snakeroot for reptiles and amphibians, such as crocodiles, lizards, frogs and also dragons.
"Wait, why is dragon group in the Snakeroot Familia but not Wisteria? Dragons are flying creatures right?" Yuna interrupt.
Hecate answered, "Dragons are more of a lizard type specie. Unlike flying creatures, there are others who also live in water." Yuna nodded in agreement as Hecate continues.
Nightshade the Underworlders. Undead, vampires, reapers and such.
Yuna thought as she realize, 'Nightshade... Isn't that Frey's last name. Is it a coincidence? Possible or not. I agree that the Nightshade name is cool but hearing it that it is part of something big. It sounds a sacred name to me. Is she and her family part of these?'.
Finally the Herminium the highest of the Familias. Least in number but great in power. Since their auras are from the gods and goddesses, they treat them with full respect or like they are the gods' of humanity.
The only familia that has a sub-family. They have the supports of nymphs, that also has a godly spirits since they are born from the spirit of a goddess, Nympha.
Even though they highly adore them, the Herminium Familia have not boast nor use their powers in disgrace. And for safety, before the gods has shared an aura they decided that those with great power, the Magi in each familia will have a god or a godess with them to guide them but if their guide is not present, physically because gods should not show themselves in the real world since they are highly powerful that would create a disaster even just their presence.
So the nymphs will take charge. Nymphs are spirits so they are not visibly seen unless they let other see them.
Things were fine at first. Everyone was happy living, a great bond with majicai and humans. It was like a guardian-child bond or either teacher-student bond. Studying and learning their abilities and power with the help of majicai by Familia.
As they were able to understand their power, the humans grew independent of their auras as the majicai observe them like a parent seeing their children grow to be independent, living their life they wanted.
It was a great time but then everything changed when a family greeds for more power. Not because of jealousy or that others have great powers than theirs' but only they are just greedy.
The family requested for more power/aura from their respective Magi thus answered "No, Thy shalt not ask for more for our power is enough." Those words irritated that family.
Step by step, after they ask from their respective Magi and disagreed they went to the Herminium's and did the same thus same response were received. And also asked from their respective majicai then to the gods but also same response was answered.
"We have given you power that you did not have to begin with because you asked for it. And now you hunger for more, that is too much. Improve thyself is equal to have great."
They believed and train hard but then no matter how hard they try they have not progress as they have reached their peak. They started a massacre, riots and many unlikely things as their peak power did not reach their expectations while there are others that went to pray to the gods again.
'Hey! that's asking too much and to do such things. They should know their limits. Asking for the impossible is too much. Which family did this?', Yuna complained inwardly.
Their wrong doings angered the gods then they've been put to a curse and a taboo was proclaimed to all by the gods and goddesses.
"Your queries have crossed the line. Thy family's curse are forbidden to kill. For person who kills or commits a murder intentionally will die painfully with their victim.
Thus a taboo was created, "Henceforth, for those whom exceeded the pinnacle of their power will lost their soul body including their mana, leaving their own body becomes an empty vessel with no soul and an empty mana core as if they are dead.
"They will completely die when their mana core shatters and also their empty bodies."
After the curse and the taboo was announced the massacres did not decrease as war followed. Before the majicai and the gods annihilate them, a magi stopped the disaster brewing not just a normal magi but the greatest and powerful magi of all, the Magi of Herminium.
The Great Magi having a good heart made it difficult to obliterate them therefore the magi used all of the aura that it has to control the auras of those who started all this to leave their bodies and return the auras to the real bearer and only quarter amount of aura remained in their bodies. Attempting to exceed that will activate the curse.
Full control of aura needs a great focus and consumes much of mana. And controlling hundred thousands of them is impossible yet the Great Magi made it possible hence exceeded the peak of its power and it cost to activate the taboo.
Everything became peaceful but not like the peace they had before."
After a minute taking in all of that, Yuna realized and can't stop be amaze, 'Wow! That was magical! I feel like I just finished a great anime waiting for season two. But this really did happened right? Of course, as if a goddess tells me this important knowledge'.
Hecate seeing Yuna's sparkling eyes, she's able to know what she is thinking. But before Hecate could talk Yuna speaks up.
"After the disaster, What happened to the Great Magi? I mean he/she committed the taboo but is its body alive?"
The question confuse the goddess and asked, "What do you mean?".
Yuna constructs her words, "Committing the taboo means for the soul body to be lost but did not meant vanish completely. It is like the soul body was seperated to the real body, vessel, and got lost in the world or should I say worlds.
And it is said that the person who committed the taboo is only proclaimed dead when the mana core and vessel shatters, so what happened to the body of the Great Magi?".
"Some said it vanished or went missing. Others said they hid it. It was unclear where the Great Magi's body was."
'But your a goddess right, you must know about it. Especially your the goddess of magic, you might be able sense or use magic to look or whatever right?' Yuna thought.
Hecate then added, "And if your thinking that I must know something about it since I am a goddess specifically goddess of magic. No, We have not know about it since then".
Emphasizing the word WE. Uh-huh, never underestimate the thoughts of gods and goddesses.
"Well that's enough for now. This is not a dream and you used your energy even in your soul body so you have to go back and rest. Sweet Dreams my dear." Before Hecate use her scepter to tap the ground making the barrier she created vanishes and return Yuna...
"Wait, Which family was it? That caused all the things you've said." Yuna voiced out.
As the scepter touched the ground, Yuna's soul body started to fade so as her vision and the barrier Hecate's voice rang in her head.

Returning to her body waking up gasping for air. Information flows in her mind. After sometime she finally remembered everything and went back to sleep as she can't resist her eyelids falling.
As Hecate's last words surfaced in her head, "Foxglove".
