"Hey there princess, how's your sleep? Been dreaming again?" Asteria tried to mock her early in the morning. Tamitha can't help but roll her eyes and just ignore her remark and continued walking on to her designated room.
"C'mon Gem don't be a buzzkill and accept the fact that I'm telling you the truth."
"Please don't call me that."
Tamitha doesn't get Asteria's point. Why does she even keep pushing her to believe such a thing? Would it change something?
"Tell me Tamitha, are your dreams still tormenting you?" That statement made Tamitha surprised. "H-Ho–W-What do you know about my dream?"
In return, Asteria just smirked and left her clueless. Which was once again resulted from Tamitha to walk absentmindedly. 'Who does she think she is? Why does she keep confusing the hell out of me?' She scoffed. She's been walking for quite some time now and not even noticing what's coming. She once again got bumped into something or... rather someone.
"Pardon me, my bad." She apologized before walking pass through the person she just got bumped into, but before she even moved, the unknown tried to catch her attention.
"You're preoccupied for quite some time now, mind sharing it? I'm willing to listen." The unknown offered with a smile on his face. That statement immediately made Tamitha's forehead creased. "E-Excuse me?"
"Well, the first time I met you, you're spacing out, absentmindedly walking in your dorm. Ring a bell?" She instantly remembered.
The day she fainted not knowing what cause it.
"Ah yes... I-I remember forgive me. It's just, there are so many things bothering me right now." She can't help feeling frustrated and ending up scratching her head which later on made her feel shy for what she's done to this charming youthful man. "No worries." He giggled showing off his adorable dimples making Tamitha smile.
Tamitha find the guy familiar, but some features don't fit to what she has on her mind. 'Maybe he just looks like someone I knew before.' She convinced herself and just continued walking along with this endearing man. She don't know what got into her easily trusting this fine young man in front of her.
"I-I'm sorry for asking, but are you new here?" Tamitha trying to start up a conversation. "Oh yes, how rude of me not introducing myself. I'm Castor. Castor Cunningham and yes I'm new here. Uhm, can I ask you a favor? If you're free and if you don't mind, I would appreciate it if you would lend me a hand and tour me around the campus miss–?"
"I'm Tamitha. I'm not fond of giving tours, but as you wish." Like she said she's not fond of giving tours but she doesn't know something's pushing her to say yes to this unknown person. The lass started the peregrination, whilst of doing that, they surprisingly got along well. They've got relatively lots of similarities both of them did not expect. Indeed, Tamitha doesn't easily trust people, however, aside from her best friend Pearl; Castor seems to be an exception too. Probably because she has this feeling that she already met this person, giving him the trust in an instant.
"It is cool that your name is somewhat– no I think it's related to my name and my brother's name."
"Does that mean your brother's name is Pollux?" Just saying the name, she immediately felt something in her system rumbling up and creating electricity, making her giddy and more; it sent her too much emotion just by saying the lad's name and she got no idea why she even felt that.
"Wow! Somebody has done her research." The lad joked.
"My mom just loves the back story of that sign," Tamitha replied seriously, making him laugh at the young lady's reaction. "But how did you know the meaning of my name?"
"I've done some research too you know." The lad boasted about making Tamitha roll her eyes in response and earning another chuckle from Castor.
"For our first stop, the statue of Astraeus, the God of stars and planets and the art of astrology. The founder of this university has this great fascination about the stars and anything about astrology, hence to this statue. Some alumni say that this statue is cursed. They say that if you touch it during your first year, you could not graduate. Some call it bullshit but some said they experienced it so it's your call if you'll believe the curse."
"How 'bout you? Do you believe it?" Tamitha just shrugged as an answer and teasingly smiled at Castor before walking away making the lad confuse but shook it off and followed Tamitha.
They continued their expedition while getting more information from each other, which they enjoyed. The moment they reached the last stop, they can't help but feel tired from all the walking and talking they did for hours. Tamitha suddenly realized that she just missed a lot of her classes for today, but she knows that she had a valid reason, anyway. She just needs to talk to their headmaster about this matter to excuse herself from the class.
Talk about abusing of power, but she got no other choice, she can't afford having an absent in her classes it would affect her grades. 'Just this once.' She even convinced herself.
"For our last stop, is this painting called 'The Primeval Northcrest'. It's the old version of Northcrest University back in the day." Tamitha looked at Castor's reaction making her laugh seeing how the guy looks very interested in the artwork. She then again looked at the painting and suddenly a realization hit her.
'I-Is this the place I d-dreamt about?' Her thought was slowly taking over her not until Castor snapped her back to reality. "You alright?" She can sense Castor's concern making her brush off the thought she just had.
"Well, that pretty much sums up our campus tour, thank you for choosing Northcrest University to have a lovely experience and never stop looking at a star, until you have the guts to reach for it," Tamitha announced the memorized script the headmaster prepared every time she would tour a student in the campus.
It impressed Castor with the remark the young lady just flawlessly stated. Tamitha noticed. "Are you that impressed with what I just said?" The lass even sniggered. Which made Castor chuckle with her. "What! I can't help it. Your tone sounds convincing, it's like your telling me, that I didn't regret choosing this school to achieve my dreams."
"Woah, there you're being too sentimental." Tamitha joked. "And that's the entire purpose of that corny speech that our headmaster created." They can't help but laugh at that remark and end up talking about more kinds of stuff while heading to the cafeteria to have their lunch.
Tamitha just received a message from her best friend telling her to meet her at the cafeteria to have their lunch together. While Castor doesn't have anyone to join him with for lunch. He doesn't know where in the world his brother was. Luckily, Tamitha asked her to just join them, while his brother is not yet around, which he gladly accepted. Their meal went well and they immediately get to know each other more.
They let Castor join with them and officially part of their group. They also promised Castor that they will accept his brother in their circle as well when he's here already.
