SUNDAY came Tamitha woke up lazily because her best friend's annoying singing early in the morning while excitedly preparing for their getaway. "Pearl, turn the freaking volume down!" She shouted. She's still in her room, not in the mood to get up yet. "Get up already! Castor's on his way here." Her friend shouted back. She just rolls her eyes because she knows she's just bluffing.
After more minutes she got up and took a bath. She can't sleep back again because of those loud music playing in their living room area. Their dorm looks like a two-bedroom condominium unit; it has two bedrooms for Tamitha and her best friend, a living room and a dining room. It's spacious for both of them and it has a modern interior, customized by the two.
Tamitha wore fitted leggings partnered with a navy blue polo shirt and boots she also brought a wristlet bag to put her phone, wallet, and tint then she's all prepped up. Tamitha knew how to ride a horse already which is why she knew the proper attire when riding a horse although she's not an expert, she's still good. Pearl on the other hand decided to wear leggings as well partnered with a white polo shirt and a sneakers.
Moments later they heard someone knocking, Pearl answered it while Tamitha checked all the appliances that need to be unplugged to be safe. "You ready?" Castor asked. Both just nodded and followed Castor's lead. "Where's your brother?"
"He's still not feeling well, he's left alone in our dorm. He wants to apologize because he can't come with us, but he promised when he gets better he'll treat us out."
"He does not have to be sorry for being sick. We understand. Tell him we understand. But are you sure it's alright to leave him alone there while he's sick?" Tamitha can't help but worry. "Don't worry he already drank some medicine, he just needs to rest his body, and he's all good."
"How 'bout you? Are you not sick too? That's what they're saying, right? When the other half of the twin is sick, the other twin gets sick too." Pearl curiously asked, making Castor laugh. "I don't know. There are times we're like that, but I guess not at this moment."
The drive on the way to the ranch went smoothly, the three enjoying each other's company and getting to know more about each other's favorites. Around lunchtime, they finally arrived at the said place. The gigantic sign saying 'The Ranch House' welcomed them. The ladies suddenly became excited seeing the scenery right before their eyes.
Just by seeing the place made Tamitha feel relax and carefree she immediately forgot about the things she's been stressing out for a couple of weeks now. She's glad she agreed to come here. "Come. Let's have our lunch first before I give you a tour." Castor invited them inside a villa.
They're welcomed by a pristine Mexican vibe. Everything looks authentic, making Tamitha extra careful of her movements, afraid that she might break something. Castor led them to the dining area while the two can't help but look around the place, seeing the furniture used in the place fascinates them.
The servants prepared them a feast, jaw-dropping and mouth-watering dishes welcomed them. They finally had their lunch while talking about their itinerary for the day. Three of them enjoyed the food. The two expressed their gratitude to the lad before they roamed around the house before going out to the ranch.
Castor gave them a tour of their two-story Mexican villa. While roaming around the place Tamitha was slowly seeing familiar pieces but can't seem to remember where she had seen it before. Everything's all too well familiar to her once again. 'Is this some part of my dreams too?' She thought to herself but immediately brushed it off. She went here to forget those dreams, so she ignored that thought and continued listening to Castor's explanations.
"By the way, are your parents here too?" Tamitha asked. "No. There in our house in the city near the university. My brother and I just wanted to visit the ranch to kill some time, unfortunately he got sick." Tamitha just nodded and decided to scan the place more.
Around two in the afternoon they went into the stables to go see the horses they'll be using later. The maidens suddenly got excited about the thought and excitedly followed Castor. It enthralled Tamitha with all the creatures she's seeing right now. She's feeling that she's one with nature. As soon as they reached the top where the stables were, she felt the fresh air brushing onto her skin.
As soon as they entered the stables they immediately heard the horses neighing making the lass chuckle out of fascination with what she's seeing right now. "This is Midnight, my brother's horse." Castor introduced a black stallion he's petting. Pearl tried to reach out, but it immediately turned its head to the other direction trying to avoid her causing Tamitha and Castor to laugh at Pearl's reaction. "Tsk. What's with your attitude?" Pearl even tried to argue with the animal. Tamitha then tried to touch Midnight's face, and the said animal gladly obliged. It even rests its face to Tamitha's shoulder.
"Hey Midnight, nice meeting you." Tamitha sweetly whispered.
"What the hell?" Pearl whined. "No fair!" She even added. "Midnight seems to like you, Tammy, he's usually grumpy and he's only fond of my brother. So, this is the first time I saw him like that." Castor explainst making Tamitha feel giddy about it.
"Right here is Choco, he's my horse, my companion." He happily introduced while the brown stallion excitedly welcomed them. "Hey, boy!" Castor greeted. He played with his horse a little more while the lass gaily watch him.
The moment Tamitha had the chance to check out Castor's features intently she immediately realized that those body build may look familiar, but she's somehow convinced that Castor was not the guy she's dreaming about, although it does not erase the thought he could still be that person or that he's been part of her dreams. She can't help but stare at those set of brown eyes it's completely mesmerizing she just loves seeing how those eyes smile too whenever he would laugh. Pearl interrupted her daydreaming by elbowing her.
"What are you thinking? Do you like him?" Pearl teased.
"What?! No! Don't be ridiculous, we just met him." Tamitha hysterically defended herself, making Pearl chuckle while shaking her head as if not even a bit convince.
After Castor's brief reunion with his lovely stallion, they tried riding the horse. Tamitha tried using Midnight, and she swiftly rode the horse around the ranch with Castor riding Choco. They left behind Pearl because she got scared riding unto the horse so she just waited for them. While riding the horse, Tamitha saw a familiar place, so her, being curious she diverted the horse's direction to that area.
It was near the end of the cliff, for safety a fence was blocking it, a beautiful scenery welcomed her, it's a perfect view and panoramic. You could see the city below and the sun and clouds above. It's completely jaw-dropping. Tamitha closed her eyes to feel the breeze kiss her face. A vision suddenly came to her. A guy hugging a girl and enjoying the sunset here at this very spot.
"I know I'll conquer the world because I'm with you."
"And I have no plans of letting you go."
She immediately opened her eyes and felt something falling. She's crying. 'What the hell I'm not even sleeping?!' She frustratedly stated. She doesn't know what's going on with her anymore, she's thinking she might try Castor's suggestion and get herself checked up.
"Tamitha? You okay?" Castor appeared out of the blue. "Yeah, I think we should head back now."
Tamitha suddenly lost all her energy because of that vision, she's confused and afraid of what's going on with her. She doesn't know what to do anymore. She's thinking if this is some kind of a warning, as if she's a psychic, but she knew that's absurd. As much as she wants to ignore these thoughts, she's being drawn to those thoughts more. She wanted to get all the answers, and she has no intention of stopping anymore.
She's up for it.
