Chapter 24 - Redemption

The next day Liam wakes up in a bed in Logan's pub. He looks around and see Abigail laying her head on the bed on her arms while sitting on a chair. He looks and sees he been bandage up from the gun shot wounds.

"Well, I guess I made you worry a bit," said Liam. He gets up and picks Abigail up and places her in the bed and heads down the stair to the pub.

He heads down and sees Logan washing dishes.

"Oh, good morning," said Logan.

"What happened?" questioned Liam.

"Well, when I got to the church, Ann told me what happened," said Logan.

"I see," said Liam.

"Why did you not tell me you had Johnny's Perk?," asked Logan.

"I just go and tell everyone I have two perks, it a rare," said Liam.

"Well thats true," said Logan.

"I actually came to see if sis can help a detective I know to find a killer," said Liam.

"Good luck with that her church duty comes first," said Logan. "She barely comes out to see me sometimes."

"Hold on she comes to see you?" asked Liam

"Yeah, she come out once in a while and comes to get a drink," said Logan. "You know she loves her red wine exported from East Tumbel."

"I guess somethings does not change," said Liam.

"Even with this Father thing she is still the same Ann I fell in love with. I feel she starting to come back since she saw you come in town," said Logan.

"Yeah, maybe I got things wrong," said Liam. They hear the pub door open.

"Sorry we…," said Logan before he saw Ann walked in and she was not wearing her blindfold.

"Oh, hey sis," said Liam.

"I see your still alive and that poor girl was so upset with you," said Ann.

"Abigail, well I will tell her I am sorry when she is up," said Liam.

"So, what brings you here?" asked Logan.

"I have decided to help Liam to find this killer," said Ann.

"What? What happened to the church gig?" asked Logan with shock.

"The real reason I became a priest as I felt it could do good for me and help me get passed Johnny's death and for a bit I thought you were dead too before a day ago," said Ann. "So I left the church."

"You left?" questioned Liam.

"Yes, I am a free woman now," said Ann.

"Oh that's cool," said Logan. He does not know what to say because he wants to propose to her now but seems to shocked for it.

"What really?" questioned Liam looking at Logan because he can read him like a book.

"Ah, you can not rush things," said Logan.

"I am not going to rush it either. We could wait for a while longer," said Ann.

"Wait, what?" questioned Logan.

"Well, we can not just get married right off that bat now," said Ann. "We have to plan and figure out where we can have it."

"Hold up. You saying you want to marry me?" asked Logan with happy expression.

"Yeah," said Ann. "You had to have asked me over two thousand times but I was with the church. Plus, I been waiting since were teens for us to start going out but you were really shy."

"Sure, I would love to marry you," said Logan.

"Then it settled," said Ann.

"Wow, but what about this place?" asked Liam.

"Give me two days I will have the place sold and we move to Darkwater," said Logan. "You better give us a place to stay too."

"Liam, why do you want to help this Detective?" asked Ann. "It not like we have too."

"Simple, redemption. This could be the thing that could make up the terrible things I have done when I was an outlaw and to give a good tale to Johnny when the time comes," said Liam.

"Redemption?" questioned Ann.

"That sounds like a rad plan to me," said Logan. "Can you see the headlines former outlaws captures the biggest murderer in Tumbel history," said Logan. "We be bigger legends then we were Outlaws."

"Exactly," said Liam.
