The very next day, Liam was heading to the Darkwater WPA Station as Abigail called him because somebody wanted to meet him. He enter the station where he meets up with Abigail, who is with Bat and Issac.
"Huh? Who are these guys," asked Liam.
"You most be Liam Antrim, you were the one who found Miss William, No?" asked Bat.
"Correct, I sadly had to see her in that way," said Liam. He started to have a feeling something was off as if he could not control what he was about to say. "Strange? Something is wrong here," He thought.
"So, is it true that you robbed a bank five years ago?" asked Bat.
"Yes, I did," said Liam. He tried to hold himself back from answering that, But this was enough for Liam to find out that he is dealing with a Perk.
"You might have figured out," said Bat.
"Yeah, this your Perk at work," said Liam.
"It called Lie Detector. It allows me to gain the truth from target," said Bat.
"I guess, you can not trust me?" questioned Liam.
"Why would I trust a former outlaw, I know you payed your debt from the profile that read from miss Whitman," said Bat. "But how do I know you would not lie to me."
"True, I do have a bad track record," said Liam.
"How about we begin the interview," said Bat.
"Interview?" questioned Liam.
They were in an interrogation room, Liam and Bat sat across from each other while Abigail and Issac stood next to them on one side.
"Now, let us begin," said Bat. "What is your full real name?"
"William Antrim," said Liam.
"Where do you come from?" asked Bat
"A place called Westwood, a little countryside village on the other side of West Tumbel," said Liam.
"Any family?" asked Bat.
"I have two brothers and a sister," said Liam. "Both my parents are dead."
"Did you kill miss Williams?' asked Bat.
"No, I was stuffing my face at the party when it happened and I have a witness," said Liam.
"That's correct, I can tell you, he was there," said Abigail.
"What you think, Partner?" asked Bat.
"Seems alright to me. Plus, he does not seemed to be the quiet type about a murder," said Issac.
"I figured," said Bat. Liam feels like he not pushed to tell the truth.
"You see this murder that just happened has happened before and I feel like it connect to the one I been chasing for the last ten years, it the reason I became a detective," said Bat.
"I see now," said Liam. "Now, since I answer my questions, it is you turn."
"Oh, what would that be?" asked Bat.
"Why are after this killer?" asked Liam.
"Simple, revenge," said Bat. "If it true then this person is also the same who killed my sister years ago and he took her eyes away."
"The only advice I can give you. Is that revenge is not the answer, it only leads to death," said Liam.
"If it meant to be then I accept that fate as long as my sister's killer sees justice for what he has done to these girls," said Bat.
"I think, I get the picture then," said Liam. Bat gets up.
"I wonder how you could stand and look at the man in the mirror. How many men, women and children have you ended, just think the last thing they seen was that face which ended their lives," said Bat. He and Issac leaves them. Liam sits there for a bit before he got up and goes home and thinks what Bat said to him.
