As soon as the bell rang I noticed how quickly Wesley had gotten up and walked out of class, I chuckled to myself, I knew he was nervous about what I was going to say after what happened in class, I mean I wasn't mad,for the most part i was just completely shocked about what happened.
I walked out of class and to my surprise he was standing outside of the door with his head down, I walked toward him trying to hold back my laughter it was a bit funny to see how nervous he was to face me, he never acted like that, I mean obviously there were still people who were scared of me I guess, some people even made a path way for me when I walked down the hall, but Wesley was never afraid, to be honest I was a bit upset that he seemed so scared to talk to me, like he thought I was going to do something to him because of what he did but I just brushed it off.
I walked up to him and nudged his shoulder a bit "well, I didn't know I was your girlfriend" I laugh, he looks up and I can tell by his eyes he felt bad for putting me in that situation, "I'm not mad" I say reassuring him that he shouldn't worry, "I'm really sorry I did that I could go back in there and tell her it was a lie" he sighs as he starts walking towards the door, I grab his arm and stop him, he turns around with confusion on his face "it's fine, I don't care, besides I wouldn't want to go on a date with Alyssa either" I say, he laughs as we start walking to our next class "sooo what happens now" he says as he stops and turns to look at me waiting for my answer, I hadn't thought about that, does that mean we'd have to be fake dating now? "Uhhhh I guess we're dating?" I say confused as I scratch my head trying to think, "I guess so" he says.
We continue walking in silence, I don't think either one of us had fully processed what had just happened
We see a couple of people staring at us and whispering, I guess Alyssa had ran her big mouth and told people.
Wesley stops for a second and I turn around confused "what?" I say, "wait wait wait, if we're "dating" now does that mean we have to, ACT, like a couple" he says looking at me, "Um I don't know I guess, how do couples act?" I had never really been in a relationship, maybe in 3rd grade but I had never had a serious relationship, mostly because everybody was scared of me, Wesley gives me a small grin and walks towards me "like this." He puts his arm around my waist and pulls me close to his chest, he then leans down and gives me a kiss on the cheek, I can feel my face turning red and can hear Wesley laugh a bit, I look up at him and smile.
I looked around and saw a crowd of people surrounding us. Wesley was definitely one among the "hot and popular" boys, so it was no surprise that the word got around quickly, I could even see girls look at me with jealousy, I turn to my left to see Alyssa with anger in her and I slightly chuckle, I also see our friend group staring at us with every single one of their mouths wide open in shock,
What have I gotten myself into.
