Alice took a deep breath as she heard the sound of skin smacking on skin. The king had hit him. A very distant hiss was heard, coming from the pained prince and her heart began to race. She looked at the ground. So he didn't know anything, Alice realized. It was all his father's doing. She closed her eyes and ran away, knowing that their conversation would not continue further after that violent incident. The king wouldn't tell him where he had hidden Nacht's insurance,he was definitely suspicious of his own son. Now that he was opposing him, he could easily tell Nacht the location or even return it to him himself.
