"We have to stay apart for the time being! Don't you get it?" Scarlett argued exasperatedly, trying to make Jean see the reason why he could not come with her to the hospital for what felt like the millionth time.
"No, no I do not get it at all." Jean stood his ground stubbornly, refusing to see reason in Scarlett's words. "We can drive separately. We don't even have to step outside together. They simply will not know we're headed the same way." He crossed his arms across his chest as he spoke and Scarlett pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. They were both dressed and she had to leave in less than ten minutes.
"First of all, Kelly is almost literally going crazy as we speak. She simply doesn't have the tenacity to be as nonchalant as I am and the least I could do is make her work easier until this all blows away.
