"Quit dwindling around, kid," Alec scolded as he stood up from his chair after receiving a call for a job, putting his phone back inside his jean pocket. "We're being called,"
"There are plenty of people here, Alec," Jet groaned, resting his nape on the back of his chair to look up at the ceiling lazily. "Why is it always us, huh?"
"Because, unlike them, we. . ." Alec started, popping an Alpha pill in his mouth. "Have teleportation," he then put a hand on top of his partner's shoulder after removing his safety earphones.
"Oh, shit," Jet cursed as his expressionless eyes suddenly showed fear. He tried to run away but the older man gripped him hard. "No!"
