" Klaus that's a horrible idea," Vayle said pinching the bridge of her nose.
" Vayle we have to find out how information is being leaked, I'm going to be interviewing people starting today,"
" They can lie,"
" That's precisely why I want to have sign-in sheets whenever people come in or out and for what reasons," He explained showing her a rough draft of what the sheet would look like.
Vayle sighed and as she played with the ends of her hair. She knew she could trust Klaus to come up with plans and the like, but could she trust others to actually sign the sheet and be truthful. Most likely not but it was a gamble they had to take.
" How do we bring this up to the rest?" She asked, now making small braids at the tips of her hair.
" Simple, we ask people to sign as they come in and leave in case of an emergency." He replied before suddenly twisting his head around to peer behind him," Kyia, lovely to see you this afternoon."
The snake hybrid was slithering down the halls faster than anyone could reasonably walk. Even while injured she boasted incredible speeds. Coming to a full stop beside Klaus she lifted her body so she was at his shoulders. She could "stand" much taller than him being over seven feet long but she felt it was rude to do so.
" Is it really so late already? Damn, I should better attention to the sun then." She replied with a laugh.
" We're inside you can barely see the sun anyway," Vayle responded finally letting go of her long hair.
" Well not all of us like to be up at the asscrack of dawn everyday Vivi," Kyia said knowing the old nickname angered Vayle," And I'm shocked you aren't all hungover you did a lot of ale last night."
" Well, I made sure to drink lots of water this morning and had some nice coffee on my walk."
" Yeah, your walk with Cal,"
Klaus was still standing there but by now has tuned out the conversation between the two girls. Thinking about how he should invite Tanen over for tea again. They talked about earl grey but he had a sneaking suspicion Tanen would like a green almond blend. It's sweeter and very smooth, fitting his perceived knowledge of the young man quite well. Though whenever he wished to get closer to Tanen he could feel his friends glare on the back of his head as if one wrong move would end his life. His friend was clearly protective and there must have been some reason for that.
Walking back to his room he sat on his large bed. When he first came to Oasis he decided a twin bed was much too small even if he never planned to have people over. He was now glad he upgraded to a king even though he stuck it against the wall in corner of his room. The sheets may be plain but were beyond soft and silky. The bed frame he couldn't remember what it was made of as he painted it a light tan to match the rest of the furniture as best as possible. It was a plain room with his bed, a desk and chair, the couch and his kitchenette. His room was one of the few with a kitchenette as he installed it all himself. Vayle had one as well but she got her butler to do it for her.
Everyone knew Vayle came from a rich family of hybrids, all of which were unicorn hybrids like herself. She grew up with an easy life is Klaus did say so himself and believed she was just doing this as a past time. Sure she was the technical leader of Oasis but Klaus was why it had made it this far, he was why it has been running as smoothly as it has been yet he got little to no recognition for his hard work and determination. That needed to change.
Vayle and Kyia watched Klaus walk away, he seemed deep in thought with his hand running through his hair. So the two girls walked to the main hall to see Tanen sitting by himself and Cal nowhere to be seen. Kyia decided she would chat with Tanen as the two have had little one on one chats and Vayle agreed. So instead she headed up to the library at the top of the building to search for the few books they had on dragons and their history. Cal needed to learn about his people. She'd strap him to a chair if she had too.
Entering the library she was actually quite shocked to see Cal already sitting at a table, amber eyes focused on the pages in front of him. She could see the tenseness in his shoulder and back as well as his blond furrowed brows. He looked like a child forced to study.
" What book is that?"
