Naomi finishes catching her breath and looks at us quickly "Nelly is being held by assassins who want to see you..."
I walk up to Naomi and grab her shoulder and look her in the eye "Where are they?" After she tells me, we all start running down the hall, Naomi was very tired, but I didn't want to wait at all so she ended up riding on my back. Naomi told me where they were as we ran "They took her when we went to the surface to get some resources, and used our rings to get inside and told me to go get you."
I turn the corner and look out into the main area, I stop and set Naomi down who had finished catching her breath. I look back at Selina who had just arrived and she quickly catches her breath too. I look at the two men that were holding Nelly and see the third one standing as Violet stood close by "So you must be the individual who insulted the goddess. We have come to take you back to her."
It didn't take me any time to know exactly who they are talking about, Jenifer "Ill go with you if you let that young girl go." I walk up to Violet as she slides behind me and Selina walks up next to me "We need to take all of you in so I think you should just come with us." I look at the man and sigh, I put my hands into my pockets and realize I brought one of the rings. I slip it on my finger and prepare to use it in case of emergencies.
"Then I'll stop asking nicely, let her go or else." The man chuckles as one of the assassins presses a knife to Nelly's neck "If you don't come with us, we will kill her." I think for a moment and nod as I step up to the man "Fine, I'll go with you, but only if she can at least walk with us." I look at the man as they let go of Nelly and she runs over to me and hugs me "Now come with us if you resist then we will be forced to kill you."
I smile and pull my hand out of my pocket and let the ring shine in the light as Selina flinches at the ring on my hand "I refuse, you actually made a grave mistake by laying any of your fingers on these women behind me." I hold my hand out in front of me and grab into the air as a light flashes and a scythe forms in my hand.
"And since you did break that rule, I think you should run before I scramble all of you." The scythe is a lot smaller than a full-sized one but the amethyst is glowing a silver color "Yeah right if all you can do is make weapons then your dead." I don't know much about using a scythe but this one is powerful enough to end it in one blow, but I don't want to ruin the girls' innocence. As I step back one of the assassins charges at me, I smirk and use the back of the scythe to hit him.
He stumbles a little as I look over and see the man who was once standing there was firing a spell at me. I would have moved out of the way but the girls were still behind me so I block with the scythe and take the blow directly. I slide back a little and stumble to the ground, as the second assassin charges with his knife.
I sigh and look at Selina, she looks at me and nods "I can do it, Leon, trust me!" I know that Selina is faster than me but can she handle her ring? I sigh and take the ring off as the scythe disappears and toss it to Selina, I turn and move out of the way of the assassin with the knife only cutting my cheek slightly. Selina puts the ring on and takes a deep breath, after a few moments she reaches out and the scythe appears with a bright firey-red color terminating from it.
Selina grabs the scythe and smiles as the bright-red starts terminating from around her as well "Amazing, it isn't even adjusted yet." I watch as the man switches to Selina and charges at her, in a streak of fire, Selina slashes through the man and he falls to the ground "L-Leon, are you ok?" I look over at Nelly who is on the ground in front of me, I smile and wipe my cheek "Don't worry, I'm fine. It doesn't hurt that bad, plus I would have done way more for you."
After a few moments of pause, the assassin man smirks and starts fighting against Selina, he is just as fast and just as strong "This is all my fault, if I didnt get so careless then you wouldn't be fighting right now." I wipe a tear from her eye and smile at her "Don't worry, I'm sure you know that I wouldn't fight for someone if I didnt care about them enough. Now, I'm gonna go fight this man and you stay here with Violet and Naomi, they will guard you."
Violet and Naomi both watch over Nelly as I rush to help Selina, I reach into my pocket and dig around for other rings. As I dig around the man stops and sees me, he charges at me, and I look at him too late to dodge, Nelly sees the man charge at me. Nelly watches as I get punched into a nearby wall, cracking it a little bit, she pauses for a moment while watching that happen...
Leon never would have gotten hurt if she wasn't there then as she watches me stand shakily from the impact spot on the wall, Nelly shakes her head and looks up at the man with determination in her eyes. She doesn't think about being forgotten or used or bad things like that, all she thinks about is living to see another day with me, she accepts her love and fully trusts me and my skills to protect her. And with this realization, Nelly joins the fight with a burst of water at the man then freezing it to slow him down.
Nelly has a faint gold glow as she stands and feels her rush of powers, her gained ability is the power to mix and match different elements, instead of just using one of the basic elements, she can create anything she can make from combining elements. Once the man breaks free of the ice, Selina meets him with a swing of the scythe, which he takes a full blow from and is sent towards me. I stand in a stance as I punch him in his gut and he ends up out cold on my arms.
I fall the ground and catch my breath as Selina's scythe deactivates and Nelly leaves her heightened state as she rushes over to me "Leon! Are you ok?" I smile up at her and she looks puzzled at me "You must have really cared about me." She blushes and looks around as she speaks "Wh-what are you talking about?" I stand and dust myself off as she follows my face "You had an awakening when you saw me get hit."
I stagger a little as I laugh, and Nelly holds me up steady "I-I just wanted to trust you for who you appeared to be instead of assuming you had an ulterior motive." I smile and hug Nelly, as she blushes and hesitates, after the hug, Violet and Naomi walk up "Leon, what was that scythe that you had? And why did you give that ring to Selina?" I sigh and let go of Nelly's hug, Selina walks up and gives the ring back, and right as I was about to tell the girls Selina covers my mouth "We can tell you when they are complete."
I laugh awkwardly as Selina leans into my ear and whispers "Don't you want to tell them when its the right time?" I sigh and nod as Violet falls onto my lap and hugs me, Nelly joins in on the hug and Selina does too. Naomi walks over and looks at me, I smile and she joins in on the hug after the original hug." With some help from the girls, we end up cleaning up the building and the people, Nelly falls asleep before we finish but once I lay her down we all keep working.
I smiled and kissed Nelly on her forehead when she fell asleep and did the same to the rest of the girls who all went to their rooms to sleep after cleaning. I brought Nelly on my back to her room as I laid her down in her bed and gave her that kiss on the forehead, and then I walked out, to go to bed myself. I smile at the peacefully sleeping Nelly and head off to bed...
