Stiles' POV
Tears streamed down my cheeks. I was now taking in short tight breathes as if someone was forbidding me from air breathing...or whatever that is all I know is that a panic attack was approaching... I was confused and afraid and Oh God... I didn't understand what was going on.
My lungs felt tight. My throat and mouth felt dry. I tried to talk but nothing was coming out so I snapped my mouth shut whenever I opened it. Too many feelings at once... How would you act if you learnt that your best friend who was like a brother to you, who was dead not long than twenty four hours ago is not really dead?. I mean, I should be happy... Excited that he's not dead but alive but still, how comes he isn't dead?. How?.
I heard his apology... It was full of regret and it was sad. I saw his body taken away by the parademics, Lydia screamed when he died... How comes Scott is not dead?. It's not that I'm not happy he's alive... Hell, I was already missing him all I just wanted to know was how this was possible.
Lux looked at me apologetically, her eyes rimmed with unshed tears.
"I'm sorry Stiles. I should have told you immediately we came back". She said in a cracked small voice.
Red came in the kitchen followed by Derek and the others.
"Is it true?". Kira asked, her eyes red and swollen but hopeful.
"What is this that we're hearing?. Scott's body being MIA?". Derek asked.
"It's true. The Sheriff just called to inform us". Peter replied not turning to look at his nephew. "And Lux here says that Scott isn't dead!". He added.
Worry. Fear. Confusion. Derek's emotions... He was worried, afraid of what was happening and yet confused about it. My senses or rather my powers we're sharper this time... I could feel everyone's emotions in the room blanketing around me only making the state I was in worse.. I was almost having a panic attack and at a point looking at Lux, I thought that she was going to have one also.
"What?". Derek half yelled. "Impossible!". He muttered as he took a step away.
Peter smirked, "Nothing's impossible nephew. Look at me, I was dead but now I am alive!". He said with a small raise of the hands. If I was able I could have rolled my eyes at that. Being dead then coming back to life in a most treacherous way like the way he did is not amiable. It's nothing to be proud of at all.
"Scott was killed. His soul was trapped so as to be used. The Scott you guys know is dead. The one coming is totally different from the one you knew. Obviously, the soul wanted a body to use and it went back to the one it was used to." Guardian Yellow explained.
"So I'm not the only zombie!". Peter huffed, Guardian Red chuckled but quickly kept quiet as Keeper sent him a cold glare.
"What?! At least I came back being sane compared to our Scotty boy whose coming back insane and ruthless.. Who knows he might be worse than I was". Peter continued.
"Shut up Peter!". I yelled more tears streaming down my cheeks.
I know Scott wasn't my friend anymore but I couldn't stand it anymore when Peter told out that remark. Scott's death had been so painful and this news? ... It was too much to take in. This was too much and at times getting used to the fact that you're not in a normal world like other people is a lot to get used to... I mean I'm always tangled in the supernatural stuff ever since insane Peter bit Scott that night in the woods... It's not like that I mind it but it's not easy. It's not really easy.
"Was just saying the truth!". He added before he kept quiet raising his hands in surrender when I turned to look at him. I was sure that my eyes were red rimmed with both shed and unshed tears.
"It's like he was actually not dead. Well he was not dead to stay dead so we can as well use the word 'sleep' Scott was asleep so his spirit which made him be the Scott you knew left and his Soul was transfigured.. It changed." Keeper explained as if she was also trying to analyze the information in her mind as well. Guardian Yellow and Orange nodded in agreement.
"We just have to wait and see how changed he is then". Guardian Orange said.
"I am so sorry Stiles. I know you feel betrayed by me ...by not telling you about this before hand. Please forgive me. Trust me I was to tell you everything but I didn't know John would call with such news.... I mean I didn't know Babayada would act this fast". Lux apologized. "Forgive me please". She begged as she took a step towards me but I stayed unmoving. I didn't mean to but that's how I felt... Not betrayed but left out. I was supposed to be the first one to be informed, that's my right as her mate, right?. Moreover, I couldn't stay angry at her forever. Was I even angry at her?.
"It's fine". I answered in a small voice, swallowing hard the bile trying to form in my throat. Lux covered the distance between us and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me into a hug. I held her waist as tight to show her that I had nothing against her.
"Thank you!". She mumbled against my neck.
Malia cleared her throat, I hadn't realized that she was in the room also but Lux and I didn't break apart. "We have a zombie werewolf coming. I believe we should find him before he finds us". She suggested.
"Good idea but it's too late". Malachi chipped in. Everyone turned to look at him. The kitchen was large so it could hold all of us in it.
"What do you mean by that?". Derek asked. "This is no time for games". He added.
"You didn't even know who Scott was". Peter interjected sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.
"Trust us Alpha. Malachi knows what he's saying". Sebastian told Derek totally ignoring Peter's remark.
"Shoot then. Tell us what you mean". Derek stated flatly, his face expressionless and his features cool.
"Malachi and I grew up together. He receives this short clips behind his head.. In his mind...". Sebastian trailed off, trying to find the right words to put in.
"Like visions?". Lux asked curiously. Of course I could smell it off of her.
"Exactly the word!". Sebastian exclaimed. "And the visions at times show him of what's gonna happen in hours, days or weeks later."
"How often do you get your visions?". Lux asked.
"I don't know." Malachi responded hesitantly. "Before my parents died, they would come oftenly but they stopped their pace.. I wouldn't get any visions for a week". He explained.
"What was the vision about?". I asked.
"I saw alpha eyes turn black. Then I saw blood everywhere and there was this laughter... Evil laughter laughing over and over again... You know like that voodoo laughter we hear in the movies?". Malachi asked. We all nodded.
"Then he came in front of us, we we're outside the mansion and he said 'I'll be everywhere you are, I'll take back what's mine bit by bit' he vanished and that was it". Malachi added as he almost stumbled but Sebastian held him up. Keeper got him a glass of water which he gulped down almost quickly. My heart's pace quickened and I know with all the supernaturals around they had heard the uptick of my heart.
"Sorry, the visions weaken me". He mumbled.
"It's like Scott was passing a message to me.. I took Alisson away from him and now his pack". I said.
"We all know you didn't kill Alisson. Stop blaming yourself". Lux replied. "Anyways, we all know Scott isn't the same anymore... It's like the nogitsune all over again but this one is a different one. It could be Babayada passing us the guardians a message. We all know what happened years ago that led her to be locked in the depths of hell".
"I think the message is for us all. I mean all of us supernatural creatures". Sebastian chimed in.
"I think you're right". Keeper answered.
"But why? Why us? Why is her anger pointed at only us not the guardians and the gods? Or the humans? What does she have against the supernatural creatures?". I asked.
"That's what we also need to know". Guardian Red answered.
"My mom mentioned this book that has all we need to know about Babayada, we have that book we know how to put her down and act a step ahead of her". Lux explained.
"What's the name of the book?". Keeper asked with furrowed brows.
"The Origins". All the guardians responded in unison.
Keeper gasped.
"What's wrong? You know the book?". Lux asked.
"Where is it?". Guardian Blue asked.
"T-that is the only one book that I never got to know it's whereabouts. I-It's really not a book." Keeper answered.
"What do you mean that it's not really a book?". Lydia asked.
"I don't know what it is exactly but my master once told me that it wasn't a book. I think it's a diary of sort but what I'm sure is that the book holds all her secrets". Keeper answered.
"So, what do we do now?". Kira asked.
"We set out and look for it?". Sebastian suggested but posed it out more like a question.
"That's the only solution. We need the book to put her down". Derek said.
"Or whatever it is". Isaac added.
"We have it, we know what it is that she's planning and how to defeat her". Guardian Red said.
"Or whatever it is". Isaac added with a lopsided smile.
"Shut up!". Jackson yelled.
Woah this guy had been so quiet the entire time that I'd forgotten his existence. At least he had stopped being an asshole for once.
"Prepare yourselves we'll be leaving soon then". Lux announced. "All expenses are on me!". She added before everyone left apart from Keeper, her and I.
"So". Keeper started.
"So?". Lux asked.
"We'll be leaving?". Keeper asked back. "All of us?".
"I'm not stupid Keeper. We can't leave this place unguarded. The guardians will remain behind, I trust them more and they're strong enough to handle whatever comes". Lux explained.
Keeper nodded her head, "Good. Remember don't get too comfortable and let your guard down". She advised before leaving as well.
Lux turned to look at me, "I'm still sorry". She mumbled.
"It's okay love. I understand but next time don't leave me out of anything".
"I promise".
"Good". I whispered as my lips ghosted hers. We kissed.
"You should probably call John and inform him of the latest". Derek shouted from the living room.
"Fuck you". I swore. Lux giggled before pulling me into another kiss. Hopefully, the pack wouldn't ruin our moment again.
