Hermione was summoned into a dark house beyond which the folks believed was a dwelling of the dark evil. Behind the walls lay numerous people trapped and could be seen in the missing planks. Their nonexistent voices called unto her for help, but her legs were unable to move. One of the recognizable faces was her best friend's Lisa.
''Hermione, please help me' She whimpered
''Lisa, what are you doing there? Come on, let me help you up.'' Hermione stretched out to hold Lisa's hand, but unexpectedly she was holding a bone. She tossed it aside, and jerked away from the floorboards. Shockwaves flooded her system, triggering shivers down every part of her body .The hair on her arms became erect. Her palms held her mouth when she saw corpses neighboring her. Their half-closed eyes stared at her taciturnly. Hermione became disoriented, the strings the scene pulled blamed her guts. Yet her head was thinking too fast to let her decide if to apologize or not. She crept away from the planks. The stench of putrid matter plunged her nose, initiating nausea that flower in boundless reflexes. The whole kit and caboodle from her unsettled stomach except her guts came outright through her mouth onto the floor. ''Damn, that stinks" she wrinkled her nose, carefully wiped her mouth and ran to the door.
The room changed swiftly. Neither the corpses nor the wooden planks existed. All Hermione saw were ghosts frozen in place. The only movement of their transparent hair did not give away that it was some sort of Halloween decorations. The ghosts ogled her coldly, their faces passive and slack. After moments of indecision, Hermione took half a step back and turned to run but the walls became blockades and seemed to be closing in... She tried yelling for help but her lips couldn't move, like as if they had been glued. She pushed all with her strength but then again lacked success. The ghosts too edged your way every microsecond that passed. The clocks in her mind then stopped ticking.
The air was rent with a scream that was so piercing that she collapsed on the ground in a fetal position her hands covering her ears not that it made a difference. The air became so cold, and her body heat left her in such a frigid atmosphere. Awareness crept over her that she was no longer in contact with the ground but was spinning
The atmospheric gravity ceased to have impact on her weight. She lost contact with the forces of air, and landed headfast on a rocky ground. Her skull cracked. The endless pain jolted down every nerve in her body right from the cranial nerves in her skull to the nerves in her toes. She moved her limbs but were immobilized... Right on the cold rocks she sprawled, while gasping for air like a dying fish. Her tear full eyes rolled about and in the process caught a silhouette of another being. In dimming lights of daybreak, he appeared to be a man but also anything beyond a normal man. His bleached skin was as white as a sheet of paper next to the sleeve of a black woolen sweater. The fangs protruded over the thin blue lips as he stood overhead staring at her. His pupils had a golden hue in the making just like Edward Cullen, a vampire. He took a knee besides her, and patted her head gently. ''Sir, please help me" she tugged onto his sleeves and tried to sit up. Yet he grabbed her wrists and beheld the pulsing veins running through her arm and smiled.
"Hermione my queen...''He said, but the next words she didn't hear. The buzzing in her head screwed up her mind. The Photographic memory and long term memory ceased to work. All she could see was
darkness in her mind, same as everywhere else. ''Oh my God, what's happening" She rubbed her fingers in her eyes, and blinked rapidly but darkness still bloomed. Her eyes closed shut once again. A familiar voice in her mind, desperately calling her name, compelled her to open her eyes all at once. The rocky ground was no more, so was the vampire and the desperate voice inside her head. . It must have been dreaming," 'she sighed, an exasperation noticeable in her voice and rested head back onto her seat.
However she felt weak, like as if she had been battered. Moving her legs and arms was tedious and painful .She scanned her legs and arms and pan
scratches .A huge piece of glass was stuck in her left thigh immobilizing her leg. There were several fresh wounds on her face and her neck that hurt as the salty sweat dripped past. Adrenaline flooded her system, elevating her heart beat rate and breathing. Her hands trembled while she rummaged through her handbag for her phone. To her disappointment, it wasn't there.
''Ralph? "Hermione peeked at the driver's seat. The sight of dried strains of blood on the wheel, and on the seat instigated her to shiver. The driver's seat was empty, and the door was open.
''Ralph, come get me out of here? 'She kicked the door hard while trying to unbuckle her seat belt that tugged on every lurch of her skin. ''Please, help me. Anyone? 'She supplicated but no one came. Suddenly a fire broke, from the engine. The intense flames caught up with the tree her car had hit. The air filled with carbon monoxide and smell of gasoline flooded her nose and mouth, depriving the little oxygen her lungs held. She held onto her bruised neck and coughed, while gasping for like a dying man.
''I really want to live. She muffled amidst jagged breath. With the last bit of strength she yanked the seatbelt free, and crept her way through the driver's door. The piece of glass in her flesh plowed deep in her flesh at the dynamic interaction with the tarmac instigating agony. She turned onto her back, and took the weight off her feet. She had to get it out even though it hurt like hell. Her lips hard-pressed firmly together while she drew the glass with quaking hands. Blood babbled out and streamed down her long legs onto the ground. She gnashed her teeth at the stinging pain that flooded her nerves. Smoothening down her leg hurt even more. She enclosed a neck scarf round the gory wound, not that it abetted. Using her arms and her right leg, as the only sustenance, she moved at a snail's pace away from the burning car that exploded minutes later.
