We both just stared at Sybil this old lady had to be crazy.
"You gave your self over to the earth child I saw it."
She grab hold of my hands again.
"That wasn't me it was a past life I'm just starting to understand it."
"Don't be shy child you are so much more than you know, part Angel part Lycain a reincarnated Goddess."
"I wasn't reincarnated a group of people I trusted did someone kind of magic that brought me back these same people betrayed me."
"I can feel how broken your heart is you must work past it. It's only going to get harder for you. Your journey has just started. You need to find that one person you can fully give your heart and soul to if you are going to make it through."
I felt dumbfounded what was she talking about. I thought I already had. I reached up and brushed my hand over his mark my body warming at the sensation as it sent a familiar heat through my body. I missed him terribly but I couldn't let myself dwell or I would completely lose my sanity.
"I'm not sure what your talking about Sybil but did you find out anything about the spell left on me."
"You saw what I did child it looked like a witch and two others took part. The witch looked familiar to me it seemed it cost her life to cast that spell. I'll have to think on it to who she may have been."
" I know the other two one was my mother and the other was Professor Ziel I'm sure of it. What was the light that came from them?"
"Well you mother was an angel right it seems fitting that the man was to. I'm going to take a guess and say it was thier grace."
Was the professor an angel why would he bind me and he knew my mother so why would he try and hurt Aurora. All this did was make more questions.
"Can you reverse the spell?"
"Well it seems possible but I would need the blood of the witch who cast it and something from the two Angels if we could get grace it would be simple."
I thought on it second I don't have anything from my mother expect my necklace and bracelet, but the bracelet was spelled.
"I have a charmed bracelet that my mother gave me it was spelled my the Professor and Reign."
Reign had been quite this whole time, not like her at all. Sybil looked at Reign her face a bit angry and disappointed.
"Reignbeaux how could you let yourself be so easily corrupted."
Reign hung her head down.
"I'm sorry Grams I'm not sure how it even happened."
"You should be ashamed granddaughter how did you not notice she was so powerful. Clearly something special."
Reign didn't move.
"How would she know I didn't even know then. It's not her fault and she did sense something she mentioned it at one point. I did what I always do an ran. Look I don't need to explain myself and Reign shouldn't either I thank you for your help Sybil."
I started for the door at least I got some idea how to break this binding.
"Goddess do you not wish to break the spell on you? It's what holding back your abilities as Goddess and what's keeping your memories from returning give me sometime to figure out who the witch might have been then we can proceed."
I just nodded her way and walked outside away from the house and felt all the pressure release. It was like I had just lost a boulder that was resting on my chest. The knot never went away now not sence I left Azrael. I stood looking out over the lake when Reign joined me.
"I'm sorry about my Grams she means well."
"I know and appreciate the help."
"So you are an Angel and a Goddess that's crazy? You could of told me. What your mate do that broke your heart."
I still didn't want to talk about it but it was basically in the open now.
"He lied to me about how we met, he may of had a hand in my parents death and I just now witness it may not of been the first time he betrayed me. But I still love him still miss him so much it hurts Reign. I never thought it would have been possible the one person who was supposed to be my everything could…..…."
I just stared sobbing again Reign took me into a hug and just let me cry.
"Have you talked to him at all maybe there's more to it more to why he did what he did?"
"You don't get it in the past life we are literally two half's of a whole we came from God himself, light and dark. We hid with the Angels helped start the rebellion against heaven and was punished for it. I was in heaven he was sent to earth as the first Lycian and the Angel of Death. We have been fighting sence the being of time to be together against all odds still found away no mater who it hurt but never has he betrayed me until now or so I thought. Maybe it's because im not that person from before I don't know I'm just so lost on what I should do."
"Well you find yourself first then if you still love him find away to make it work if that's what you still want there's always a choice Sol."
"I'm not so sure Aurora is already weakened being away from him."
"Oh…"
Was all she said my thoughts lingered towards what Legion said that he believes my path is different then what Azrael has been telling me. Azrael walked away from Lucifer but why? It's like he wanted Michael to beat him but why? From the bits I remember the three of us shared something amazing. I wondered what Lucifer would be like now after millennia alone. Why was Azrael so adamant in breaking him free now if he so willingly gave him to Michael?
"Hey Sol I want you to try something."
She motioned me to fallow her to over to some flower pots next to the porch the flowers in the were dead.
"You wanted to show me dead flowers?"
She giggled and smiled.
"No I wanted to show you that even something that seems lost can be brought back and can be even more beautiful."
She placed her hand over one of the flowers and all brown and brittle leaves started turning green the flowers budded in to bright purple and white Mayflowers.
"How did you do that?"
I looked at her mouth open.
"Its really easy witches pull there power from the earth it's one of the first things you learn as a witch. Your power is all around you give it a try just picture life flowing through the flower, like water flowing through it."
"I won't be able to I'm bound remember?"
"Sol you are literally the Goddess of the earth you can do this small act I'm sure of it."
I knelt down closed my eyes and placed both my hands over the dead flower. I picture water flowing through it color coming back to it's dead leaves. I felt a small tingle in my finger and pulled back my hands but didn't open my eyes.
"Sol look."
When I did there before me a full pot of red yellow and pink tulips.
"How?"
"I guess you really are the earth Goddess."
"Thank you Reign."
Sybil walk out on to the porch she looked from us to the flower pots then back to us again.
"I see Reign is showing you some new tricks. More proof you are really the Goddess. Come both of you I think I found our witch."
We all sat back around the table Sybil had photo albums spread out everywhere.
"Dose this woman look like the witch from your vision."
I glanced at the picture of two women standing in front of a large tree one kind of look like Reign the other had darker hair and a crooked nose just like the women from the vision.
"Yes. Who is she?"
I said looking back to Sybil.
"That would be my aunt who went missing about 60 years ago her name was Beatrix."
"Are you saying your aunt did the casting of the spell that bound my abilities."
"It would seem so, it's a good thing really you have her kin right here next you making breaking this spell a bit easier. I can use Reign's blood along with yours and that Professor I can use your the bracelet as the catalyst. So the problem we have is getting his blood or grace from your Professor."
"I can do it besides I owe him a visit after what he tried to do to Aurora."
"Okay I will work on an incantation be quick night is coming and the moon will be up soon we will need it for the spell."
Me and Reign head out to her car the campus wasn't far away it wouldn't take us long to get there.
"Sol I'll go in first he doesn't know I'm on to him or that your back. After a few you come in and we can get what we need."
Her plan seemed simple enough she would do a paralyzing spell and I would come in and get what we needed in and out piece of cake.
