When we got to the campus the grounds were bare no one was around. The place still gave me the creeps and at night with the lights pointing towards it the medieval castle look took on an ominous feel. I was actually nervous about this I know I have fought supernaturals before but Professor Ziel was an angel. My fights with Azrael haven't turned out the best, but I don't think he would ever truly hurt me and held back. Hopefully it wouldn't come to a fight.
We walk through the corridors stone covered the main walls and dark wood beams covered the ceilings and archways. His classroom was at the end I waited outside as Reign prepared herself to head in. Worry played across her face her brow creased a bit in the middle then she blew out a long breath and planted a smile on her face. The lights was still on in his classroom hopefully he was still present. I waited and listened as she walked inside.
"Reign? What are you doing here I don't remember asking you to assist me this afternoon. It's rather late do you need something."
His voice was calm a bit surprised maybe but he didn't seem alerted to anything.
"I'm sorry professor I seem to have missed place the curriculum packet you gave me earlier I was hoping you had another copy."
Okay she seems to be holding it together but her heart was racing hopefully he couldn't hear it to.
"That's not like you at all, but I have another I can give you."
I could hear her foot steps moving further into the room. Her breathing was becoming labored she still had to distract him long enough to recite the paralyzing spell. A chair moved across the floor and a set of heavier foot steps moved across the floor.
"Professor!"
Then her steps quickened and something fell to the floor
"What are you do...."
Silence just Reign's heart beating faster then before and another slow barley audible.
"SOLARIS HURRY!"
She called and I was there in a split second we didn't have long. I pulled out the vile Sybil gave me from my pocket and a knife then made a cut on his palm once it was filled I handed it off to Reign.
"We got it now let's go."
I turned and stared for the door with Reign then he spoke the spell already wearing off.
"Don't you want to know why your mother cursed you?"
His voice pierced through my head like tiny daggers. I have heard it before it wasn't his normal smooth tone it was scratchy and deeper. I racked my brain for the answer then it hit me I know him from my life before.
"Reign you need to leave."
"What why? No Sol come on we got what we need let's go."
She pulled at my arm and I pushed her hand away.
"Reign go now he has answers I need and neither of us will be leaving till I get them."
She pleaded with me once more before she ran out the door.
"I know who you are now Reziel you didn't get to creative with your name."
I stocked towards him. He was able to move his head and fingers now.
"So you have been getting your memories back go to know that means you found Azrael. How did that reunion go were you hit with cupids arrow? Bet the bliss didn't last long."
"Shut up! Enough. I'm asking the questions. I remember you from before you ratted me out to Michael, and helped my mother bind my abilities WHY?"
"Because even your mother came to realize what an abomination you are." What was he talking about my mother loved me she always told me everything.
"You lie!"
I could feel the anger building Aurora growling in my head she wanted out bad pictures of ripping him to pieces flashed in my mind.
"Did I hit a nerve Little Angel? Oh wait I'm sorry I meant Little Wolf."
I was so blinded with rage I just lunged at him, and didn't even notice the spell had worn off and he disappeared before I could reach him.
"Coward face me. Tell me how dose one steal an Angels grace? I can't imagine it feels good."
I look up to see him standing in the back row of seats.
"Now there will be none of that Little Wolf. Don't you want to know why me and your mother was such close friends?"
I moved closer to him only for him to disappear again.
"She knew what destruction you would bring to this world. She couldn't bring herself to kill you she was still your mother after all. Sad really to see an Angel as great as Uriel fall so low for a false hope. You Azrael had them all fooled made them all believe that love was worth fighting for. What has love brought you Little Wolf death, betrayal and disappear?"
He sure knew how to hit a low blow. I could feel the tears swelling in my eyes all I could picture was Azrael.
"You have no idea what you are talking about."
"I don't do I? Your friend Reign was manipulated easily enough the truly loyal ones can't be influenced so effortlessly. How's Aurora by the way?"
I pulled the celestial blade from my back he was not getting out of here alive.
"Nice stick you got there where did you get it?"
"From my mother!"
I concentrated like I did with Azrael listening to the wind it was easier being inside to focus as he moved. With a quick slash to my right he fell to the ground holding his abdomen. I walked over to him and kicked him onto his back. Using the end of the blade I lifted up his head to look at me.
"Who's being manipulated now?"
I pulled the blade away from his chin only to cut his throat a little and a soft glow escaped then was replaced by blood almost instantly. That must be his grace it looked just like the light from the spell they did to me as a baby.
"Tell me Reziel what's it feel like to have your grace ripped from your body?"
He looked up at me pushing himself up from the floor.
"You will never know because you are darkness don't let them full you. You are not the Light Angel or the All Mother you will bring death and destruction to this world. Your mother even saw that in the end she tried hiding you from Azrael, tried binding your magic. I did what I did to save this world. You see no being beside God himself should have that much power and you Little girl are no God."
I couldn't take it anymore his lies about my mother about me. He is nothing and had no right to speak of Azrael. I took the blade and plugged it in his chest. It eyes glowed and so did the blade it was like his power went into the blade itself. His eyes stopped glowing leaving the same burned wholes that was left on my mother. The blade I held still shined in my hand a few more moments before it went back to normal. I stood there looking a Reziel's in moving body and felt closure I was unsure why. I shook it off pulled the blade from his chest and walked out of the school to meet Reign.
When I finally exited the building it's was surrounded by Silks they encircle the perimeter. Azrael must of sent them he must of felt my anger or was it anguish I still didn't know. The Silks gave me no attention as I walked passed them away from the grounds they just continued facing forward. Reign was leaning on the side of her car looking very uneasy.
"What happened in there?"
She had a concerned look on her face arm crossed over her chest like she was hugging herself.
"The Professor is dead."
I said very plainly.
"He's What?!" Are you kidding me how are we going to hide this Sol. What do we do with the body?"
Her hands were in her hair eyes starting to bug.
"I don't know Reign I have never killed an Angel before."
"We can't just leave him there."
"Yes we can. Let the humans find him. Now let's go the moon almost at it's highest point."
"No Sol we can't just leave him first rule don't leave evidence you can disappear I live here."
She was pacing now.
"Fine I think I know someone who can help. You head home I will take care of it and be right behind you."
She stopped pacing and removed the hands from her hair and stared at me.
"What?" I asked
"Just a second ago you was going to leave him there now you have a magic clean up crew."
"Yes Reign but they don't like to be seen so I will see you at your grams in a few just help her get the spell ready."
She didn't say anything after that and sped away. I shied and walked back inside the Silks still as statues.
"Legion? I'm sorry to call you for something like this but I need your help."
Just like that the familiar chill went down my back.
"Hello Solaris."
There he was in a puff of black smoke hands crossed low in front of him and those endless amethyst eyes. I swear I would call him and ask which way the wind was going to blow today, just to look at those eyes.
"Legion thank you for coming I made a bit of a mess and I didn't think it would be wise to leave it for humans to find."
"Yes that wouldn't be good. I see you finally dealt with Michael's spy."
"Michaels spy what do you mean?"
"He's been watching you sence word got to heaven your mother was carrying you. He also told Michael of your child in your life before as well."
"That explains why it felt so good to put that blade in his heart."
"Yes I suppose it would."
Then with a snap of his fingers Reziel's body was gone and the room put back in order.
"Wow how did you do that?"
"He was dead I keep order in death. It that all Solaris?"
"One last thing can you pop me over the Reign's or at least out side her property."
Like last time he open his arms and I wrapped mine around his waist and rested my head on his chest as he encircled his arms around me. I know this didn't mean anything to him but it felt nice to be held if only for a moment in the embrace of someone I trusted.
