Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Alexander followed Allya blindly around the gloomy wasteland. "So where exactly are you taking me?" He asked, slightly concerned. "My place. I know it might not seem like a lot at first, but trust me. You'll get used to it." She replied with a small chuckle. Alex looked around once more. "So can you tell me more about this place?" He asked Ally. "Well first of all, this isn't all. The Wastes are just a part of Saphorr. That's the world we live in." She spoke to Alex as if he were only a small child. "Then there's the queens on Saphorr. Lani and Cassandra Stärr. They're...something else." She shuddered. "I mean don't get me wrong! Queen Lani's great! It's Cassandra who's the problem." Ally sighed. "Lani is blind. Therefore Cassandra also serves as her eyes. The thing is Cassandra doesn't always...see what's best for her people." Allya felt as if she had said too much. "But otherwise, over here there's a pub not too far, my place...that's it I guess? Not a lot of people live here. It's sort of just me and the bartender, William." She points to a nearby shack. "Oh there it is! That's my house. Let's go!" She says with confidence as she leads Alex faster through the wastes. Alex laughs "Wait up, Ally!" He runs after her. But he starts to wonder What if I have to meet those queens? Are they going to kill me? Imprison me? Probably shouldn't worry about it now. That's when he noticed the little hand was still clinging on to his pants. Alex picked it up and carried it with him. Now was definitely not the time to worry.
