Nan pushes the doorbell when they arrived at the front door of Din's house. Nan and Veo already bring a lot of drinks. Din opened the door and they come in.
Nan thought Din's place would be a well-appointed and luxurious one, but the reality is he had this comfortable condo with much larger space. A light-colored floor, a laid-out grey fur carpet below go well with a white coffee table in front of a TV, in the living room. Light-colored furniture with splashes of grey color around really suits Din. It was the first time Nan see Din with his house clothing, an oversize t-shirt with track pants. in Nan's eyes, Din looks lovely in this style.
"Whoa, Din! Why are you ordering this much?!" Veo asked in shock.
"I didn't know what you guys want to eat, so I ordered lots from the menu," Din explained.
"We actually good with anything though, but this is awesome!! I'll eat lots of it, Thanks!" Nan sits down, ready to dig in.
"Okay… Oh, you guys bought drinks?" Din saw Veo carry a shopping bag.
"Yep, you invited suddenly so this is what we can offer." Veo gives the bag to Din and Din received it, "Don't bother, I'm the who sorry for the sudden invite."
"Well, I don't mind and I'm sure Nan is also fine with it."
"Yep, I'm perfectly fine with it!" answered Nan while chewing her food.
Din chuckle looking at the cheerful Nan that eats so well while tidying up the drinks and Veo giving his helpless gaze to his friend who likes food so much. They sit on the table and have dinner. While their eating, Nan asked. "Anyway, why did you suddenly invited us for dinner, Din?"
"Nah, nothing. I'm just bored." Din seems lazy to answer the question, but Nan continues to ask with a threatening gaze, "Is it about what happen today?"
"That could be the cause, but I just think if something like that happened. It means I need to relieve my stress or have at least a conversation with people."
"What? What happen today??" Veo didn't know what happen today because he's been helping the production team for the next shooting site.
"Should we tell him about today?" Din asks Nan.
"What's up with that?" Veo referred to the word 'We' that Din used and Nan answered Veo, "He means something also happens to me today?"
"Something happens to you too? Okay, now spill it! I can't stand being out of the talk!"
Then Nan and Din explain to him what happens today all about the situation and details. Then Veo giving some of his opinions that in this life people would certainly come back and forth for either work or private life and sometimes both related that make it more difficult to handle.
"So, we can just feel it and keep coming forth with better choices," Veo said while drinking his cola. Nan and Din are dazed in silence, looking at Veo. Then, started making gag conversation to make fun of him,
"Are you hearing what I'm hearing?" Din asked.
"It seems so, I thought there somethings wrong with my ear." Nan chuckled.
Veo laughs and so are Nan and Din.
Din come up talk about Nan is actually a foreigner, "Oh! Come to think of it, I recently know that Nan is originally from Indonesia."
"Yep, true. She's been here for almost 6 years."
"And you know her since then?"
"No, actually I knew her since 7"
"What?!" Nan surprised, she didn't know that she ever met Veo at that age.
"As expected she didn't remember at all,"
"How is she back then?!" Din asks in excitement and Veo gladly spills all about Nan.
"Oh, you need to know how she is when she was 7! Even though she's like this now, I mistake him as a boy back then,"
"WHOA! HAHAHA FOR REAL?!! THAT'S HILARIOUS!" Din laughs so hard and Nan shouting at Veo in anger, "VEOOOO! SHUT UP!!!"
"She had boys haircut and there is dirt on her face! I knew Nan is a girl after my dad told me that she will live in Thailand."
"THWACK!!" Nan hit Veo's back so hard that it makes a loud-painful sound.
Din stops laughing and continues to ask about Nan, "Your dad's knew each other?"
"Our dad originally business partners, but they got close and become best friends after finishing their business in Jakarta," Nan explains.
"And by the time she came, it's no different with the 7th-year-old Nan. She had a boyish haircut and dirt on her face."
"It's because of the muffin I ate on the plane, damn it!" Nan pouted.
Din chuckled. "How can you be so interesting, Nan?? It's just a simple thing but if I imagine it becomes hilarious."
Nan is annoyed and pinch Din'd nose, "I see you're having fun, huh???" pulling Din's nose. "Ouch! Ouchhh! Haha!" Din laughs in his pain.
Veo had fun seeing them being close, but suddenly his phone rang. It was a call from home. He picked up his phone and received news that his aunt will give birth. Veo is shocked because it's a 2 months early birth. His mom asks him to pick her up right away to the hospital.
Veo tells Nan and Din that he has to pick her mom for that matter and left in rush. Nan stunned because she's also can't do anything in Veo's situation. "I guess I'll take the taxi," Nan figured out a way to go home without Veo. Din look at the clock and asked, "Are you serious? In this hour?".
It's already late, the clock showing that it almost 2 o'clock and it's a dangerous hour to go by taxi alone, especially for women.
"Um… sorry if this rude, but can you drive me home?"
Din is scratching the back of his head, "That's also what I've been thinking about, but my car is with P'Toll,"
"..."
Nan and Din are left without any options, but to stay until the suns come up. It was awkward. Veo unconsciously leaving two people that have feelings for each other. Din who has feelings for Nan and Nan who just begin to open up her heart.
