"Oi, Nann!" Din tries to wake up Nan.
"..." Din only heard her sleeping breath and he shouted a bit, "Naan!"
"Hmm...! What is it? We're not there yet aren't we?" The dozy Nan hasn't opened her eyes.
"Still, the sunset is great from this spot! You gotta see this!"
Nan opened her eyes and see the sunset on the right side of the car. The sunset colors reflected on the seawater made her smiled right away and excited. "Whooooaaaa!"
"Hahaha amazing isn't it? We made it in time to see this!"
"Is this what you planned? Doesn't seem like punishment for me."
"My request is to keep me company after all, not to get back at you."
"Aw, my angelic friend~ you're so nice~"
Din laughs a bit as Nan teasing him. The sunset behind Din makes a beautiful landscape and it really suits Din's appearance. "Din, can I take a picture of you? This is really good"
"What's good?"
"You and the sunset... and the sea" Nan doesn't know but she feels saying that is embarrassing.
"Sure, why did you have asked?" He glances at Nan and thought that her question seems ridiculous.
"I'm concern about your privacy. Maybe, you didn't like getting pictures because you're a celebrity?"
"You're exaggerating and probably watched too many dramas. People become a celebrity because they feel awesome getting a lot of attention."
"Of course I watch a lot of drama, It's my dream."
"But, It's about to happen right?"
"I hope it'll be a successful dream! I'll take your picture now,"
"I'm sure it'll be one!"
Nan is happy to see the result. Din looks handsome and the sunset is just perfect. Then Nan continues to take some pictures on the way.
Din parked the car and tell Nan that this is the first stop, Pattaya Beach. "What are we doing here?" Nan asked.
"I want to dip my feet into the water."
Nan follows Din and planned to just watch him, but Din insists Nan get into the water. "Come on! It'll be only your feet!" Din grab her wrist and pull her gently.
Nan thinks it was a good idea to dip her feet into the water just like Din. It was calming. She feels the sand and water stroking her skin.
"WOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"
Nan jolted. Din is shouting like crazy on the top of a coral beside her.
"What?? Come on follow me! WOOOOOAAAA!!!"
Nan laughs real hard seeing this side of Din. Nan follows to shout like Din. "This is great to relieve stress!!" said Din loud because of the sound of the wave getting bigger. "Yeah!! This is awesome!!" said Nan lifting her arms up to the air.
Suddenly one big wave comes in and Nan and Din got wet.
*WHOOOSHH!!!
They don't see it coming. There is a long pause when their eyes met. Nan breaks into laughter, Din amused by Nan's respond and laugh with her. Their clothes are all wet.
"Sh*t, it's cold." Nan is crossing her arms to warm herself up.
"Wait, I think I have a towel," Din went to the car to retrieve the towel.
He got back and put the towel on Nan's head then scrub her hair. Din sits beside her, released a long sigh. "Hahh... I didn't expect we got unlucky like this, sorry."
"Haha don't worry, it's fun though! We can just walk around till our clothes dry." Nan suggests.
"You wanna get cold?"
"Nah, I got cold once each year and I already have one last month." Nan explained the reason and Din chuckles, "How could I believe such a thing? Lol"
"I'm serious, It happens since I was 11 and my dad is the one who tells me that I got cold once each year," Nan explains her weird cold-timing.
Din laugh. He still couldn't believe it even though she said it's real.
"Actually, Pattaya has always been a place for me whenever I need to get something out of my head since I live in Thailand."
"Ahh, I see... Wait. You're not from Thailand?"
"Yeah… there's no Thai blood in me. I'm 100% Indonesian. I moved here 5 years ago."
Din keeps asking about how is Nan back then and Nan continues to tell Din. Din is happy to know more about Nan. He has no idea that Nan is not Thai.
"Honestly you're the second person who knows about this beside Veo"
"Second…"
"...?"
"Nothing!"
"Sorry I talk a lot"
"Well, it's fun to see the unusual Nan."
"Oh! I think we already dry enough! Wanna grab something to eat? I know a good place."
Then Nan shows the way. It was a seaside hotpot restaurant, just a few people who dine there. It a perfect place for Din, so he wouldn't get exposed. Nan and Din order their food and while waiting for their food, Din gave out a tiny box and hand it for Nan.
"What is this?" Nan asked.
"It's a present for you."
"Why?! It's your birthday! You are the one who should receive a present."
"Nan, I have countless presents, for this time I want to give instead of receive."
"You��ll give presents to your friends? Even to your fans?"
"Yeah more like a token of appreciation."
"I'll take this then," Nan takes the box and opened it.
Nan is surprised that her mouth opened. The necklaces are so beautiful.
"It is not tacky yet simple, just like you! I thought of you when I saw it, then I bought it."
"Thanks! Oh, I also got you a present!" Nan is take something from her bag.
It was also a box but bigger than the one Din gives to Nan.
"Awesome!!" Din went to grab it right away but Nan didn't let him.
"I thought you want 'to give instead of receiving' this year,"
"Well, you already bought it for me. It will be a waste if I don't receive it!" Din said.
Nan laughs and gives the present to Din. Din opened it right away. It was a nice watch with a leather wrap.
"Do you like it?" Nan asked.
Din smiles and tries to hide his teary eyes, "Yep, I like it very much! Thank you, Nan." Din moves his gaze to Nan and Nan smiles. The food comes and they started having their dinner.
After they have the tasty seaside hotpot, the drive home. It was late, Din drives Nan to her condo.
"Thanks for today! It was a blast, Happy Birthday, Din!!" Nan smiled happily to him and Din's heart skip a beat. He decides to do it now.
When Nan is about to come out of the car, Din grabs her hand. Nan gets that Din doesn't want her to go yet, so she got back and sit in the car. "What is it? You want to go somewhere else?"
Din let out a heavy sigh and said, "I want to if I can."
"... so?"
"Uh… I actually want to say something. You do not seem to recognize it, so I had to say it."
"???" Nan drowned in confusion and wondering what Din want to say.
Din start to speak, "NAN, I…" Nan's eyes widen, heat comes up down from her stomach to her ear, and her heart pounds loudly. Din's look at Nan properly and continue his sentence,
"I LIKE YOU, NAN!"
