"Not that I agree with your theory but if he does indeed happen to be a supernatural being, what then?" Ross frowned. "It'll be a tough sell to a Prosecutor let alone a Grand Jury." She then grabbed her bag and stretched out while giving out a fairly loud yawn before looking back at her partner.
"It's been a long day, I'm heading home, I suggest you do the same. Let the kid go, if what you say is true and that the Feds are all over him then there is little you can do."
"I suppose, I just need to make one last stop." Kyle got a glimpse of Ross' disapproving look. "It's at my Sister's, relax."
She nodded before leaving him in the office.

Raymond finally returned to his apartment for the last time, it had been a long and busy day. Everything had been taken care of, Adrastea handled his transfer papers and would meet him outside the campus. He just had to pick up a few belongings and hand over his school ID.
He had just dropped his bag on his favorite couch when he detected movement from one of the corners in the living room. He instinctively raised his hands towards the direction and almost regretted it.
"You're not going to smite me, are you?" Det Kyle's right hand reached for his holster while his left shot forward as he took a half a step back, his back hitting the wall.
"What the hell are you doing in my house?" Ray dropped his hands.
"Looking for you." Kyle hand rested on his holstered gun but didn't make a move to remove it. "What exactly were you going to do if it wasn't me?"
Ray sighed, he had acted too early, and there was no way he could explain his way out of it. Good thing he had gone for a wind attack rather than electric. Other than the subtle whoosh as he gathered the air around him, there wasn't much for the Detective to work with.
"Nothing. You scared me, that's all."
"That's not the look of a scared man," Kyle narrowed his eyes as his expression hardened. "Where were you today, I couldn't find you?"
"Why, am I in trouble?"
Kyle lowered both his hands and looked straight into Ray's eyes as he moved closer to him. He reached into his right pocket and fished out his phone, Kyle fiddled with it before looking back at Ray. A few seconds later Ray heard his pocket vibrate and he immediately reached for his phone.
The buzzing stopped once he glanced at an unknown number. Looking back at the Detective, he saw the Kyle placing his phone in his ears while his eyes never left Raymond's.
"Hey Tim, do you have a read on my location...?And his?" Kyle had a slight frown after he mentioned 'his.' A few seconds later he put his phone back in his pocket and went back to staring at Ray.
"What the hell is going on?" Ray could hear the wheels turning inside the Detective's head.
"I've been asking the same question for close to a day myself. But one other question seems to be at the forefront currently and its; how the fuck are you walking right now?!"
...
There was a knock on the door that jolted Raymond into action again. He rushed for the door and opened it to find Adrastea. He quickly grabbed her hand and yanked her in rather roughly before looking both sides of the hallway and then shutting the door.
"What the hell did you do this time?" Adrastea asked accusingly as he followed Raymond to his room.
"This!" Ray pointed at a body lying on top of his bed. "I didn't know what else to do."
Adrastea glanced at the body before turning back to Ray. "He's still alive."
Raymond frowned at the statement but didn't push it. "He was asking a lot of questions, and I panicked...I sort of used a Sleeping Spell on him."
Adrastea put her briefcase on the edge of his bed before turning to him. "How many bin bags you've got left?"
"Huh?"
"We need to get rid of the body," Adrastea said as she folded her sleeves before pulling out a dagger from god knows where.
"Wait, we're not killing anyone," Ray protested before closing in on her.
"No, I am. Now go get the bags."
"I said no!" Ray got between her and the Detective.
"I don't take orders from you. In case you've forgotten, he was after you for some reason. And now you've just given him another. Did you even check his body for any recording devices? Is he alone? Like it or not he's a threat to you, and it's my job to deal with them."
Ray's head was spinning. "He made a phone call earlier and mentioned about some guy named Tim. That still doesn't mean we should kill him."
"Actually, there is every reason to kill him. He's not a nosy neighbor or some random stranger you met on a parking lot or street. He's a damn detective who might have very likely been gathering details of you.
"Sooner or later he's going to have enough on you to put out an APB. The sooner you deal with him, the better and fewer people you'll have to kill. I've seen this happen plenty of times."
Raymond frowned at that last statement before Adrastea continued. "What? You didn't think this through at all? Now only he is after you, later several others like him are going to be after you. Before you know it, you'll be making news headlines.
"You'll be a wanted man and have the Feds coming for you. They'll be sending wave after wave of teams every time they get your location. In the end they'll either capture you or kill you if you give them too much trouble. If there's one thing that hasn't changed about humans, is their tenacity to die for what they fear and couldn't possibly control, all in an attempt to gain control."
Adrastea sighed gently put the knife back after seeing Raymond still not convinced before raising both her hands. "I need to check him for any devices if you don't mind?"
With some hesitation, Ray moved to the side as she rummaged through the Detectives pockets and pulled out his phone, wallet, gun and car keys.
"Go grab your things, we're leaving."
"What are you going to do with those?" Ray indicated at the objects Adrastea was now placing them in her case.
"Use them to clean up after your own mess, again."
"So, we're not killing him?"
"If you're still here when he wakes up, I'll have to. Now let's move," Adrastea said as she left him in the room.
